If people choose to hold onto their bigotry over their jobs or freedom then that's their choice and they deserve to lose their jobs or freedom.

Who gets to decide what the proper "groupthink " that warrants termination from your occupation?

The businesses. School district is a business and so are private schools. They get to decide who they want to protect and what civil rights they want that are not protected by law.

So who's controlling the businesses?

Do you feel the same sense of entitlement to be bigoted and nasty towards other minority subsets of people?

Gay people?
Bisexual people?
Black people?
Disabled people?
Members of a different religion than yours?

Just curious if you’re consistent in feeling people should be entitled to be bigoted and disrespectful towards others or if you only have a specific dislike for being civil to transgendered people.

Where I live, it’s the BC Human Rights Tribunal as governed by the BC Human Rights Code.

They dictate the rules about bigotry in the workplace. Go afoul from the rules and you can lose your job as well as a whole lot of money.

No, the other one was about a different transphobic schoolteacher.

I have a problem with any group, movement, organization seeking and gaining domination in schools and businesses and society in general.

That’s rich considering your support for trump and maga republicans who are trying to do exactly that.

Trans people aren’t attempting to do any of those things. They’re simply demanding the same basic human rights and dignity afforded to others without having to ask.

So...you believe that robbing someone from their livelihood for an opinion that doesn't meet woke approval is justified?

Isn't that a bit Orwellian?

Another one! so I guess the upside of this is it filters out prejudiced teachers.

Not at all. I believe that people should be decent to each other without having to have it codified into law, but I appreciate the existence of the laws to correct the atrocious behaviour of people who believe they’re entitled to be bigoted to others in the workplace.

Never read anything written by Orwell, so I can’t answer that question.

They filter themselves out like magas on a dating app. 8)

If only the same held true for people in the healthcare field in the USA. Unfortunately I’ve read stories of states implementing laws granting medical doctors the right to refuse treatment to trans people based on religious beliefs - which is bizarre because I’ve yet to have anyone be able to quote the part of the bible that says Christians are meant to discriminate against trans people.

Liberal Democrats are also trying to do exactly that. But at least that's an established political system, rather than an outside force trying to take over everything.

False equivalency.

Liberals preach freedom of choice to do things. trump & ilk are attempting to tell people what they can and cannot do.

Just you wait and see come Roevember when people with vaginas and the people that love them vote for liberal freedoms and human rights instead of conservative imposed restrictions & religious fanaticism.
