Most environmental groups, if you thought about it, would object to that sort of euthanasia happening unless the animal was objectively seen as poorly.

Do I look like I associate with them? OK... what about the Animal Welfare League? Or the RSPCA?

This is how it works, Quatermass. Too many people have these snappy answers who have no clue what the truth actually is.

hhhhhmmmm.... Since you happen to know what the truth is, why dont you enlighten us, and provide us
with evidence that all the animal rights groups are slaughtering exotic animals to further their evil agendas?

The only time I know of exotic animals being killed, is when someone for example, keeps a pet tiger and then that tiger mauls someone to death. Its not the tigers fault of course, tigers just do what tigers do.

A lot of people are forced to give up exotic animals, not just tigers but animals like foxes, when the laws change. This often results in the death of a healthy, innocent animal. The animal rights groups push for these laws, so yes, they are slaughtering exotic animals. Yes, their agendas are evil.

When you look at the way the conservationists are involved in this, not only do they push for programs that at best lose ground a little more slowly, they also push for laws that prevent so-called non-conservationists from doing anything that might bring back an endangered species. The tiger is losing ground badly. India has simply thrown in the towel. China did something about it by farming the tigers, now they have thousands, and the so-called conservationists are having massive hissy fits.

The truth is that farming animals and making pets of them is the best deal that they can have in this world.

i'll agree with that... look at cows... if they weren't good to eat, they'd probably be extinct by now, everywhere but in india...

Funny, I know lots of animal lovers that create sanctuaries and adopt everything from tigers, chimps, to rats.
Usually, if an exotic pet is found in an unsafe environment, or is breaking a law (laws are also there for reasons,
exotic animals carry diseases that could spread to native species, and if some were to escape, they could spread
and become an invasive species. Starlings? Pigeons? Not native animals. People brought these here because they
thought that they were "pretty". Also, an improperly kept pet, which is often the case for amateurs because they
can't afford the high cost of adequate housing, could escape and harm other people.)
the animal is not "slaughtered", I don't doubt that it happens but it is a few isolated cases. There are many people
who spend there lives working with non-profit sanctuaries to give captive animals a good life. Usually if an exotic
animal is found thats breaking a law, it ends up in the newspaper, and sanctuaries offer to take them in.

I think if someone really values animals, they will get a proper education in that area, and then work with a sanctuary
or a zoo in an official breeding program. I don't know why an amateur would want to stay an amateur. And unless
they have millions of dollars to spend, the average person can't properly care for something like a tiger, without great
risks. If the person DOES have millions, then they would hire someone with expertise, and the project should be registered
and wouldnt be "amateur" anymore.

By the way, a tiger in captivity is not a tiger.
It is only a genetic ghost of a tiger.

But the Ark, AFAIK, never had to deal with icebergs.

Flood myths are common throughout history, like in the Epic of Gilgamesh, or in Greek creation myth. Apparently, if I remember, it was something to do with the Black Sea flooding....

Video: Abused Pet Lion Goes to "Carnivore Shelter"

That is a perfect recent example why there are laws against having big cats as pets.
