OMG, I should hunt around for a link to the post on here, but when the story of what she did first came out, someone on here posted something about her as an NT, sort of like saying "so this is how NT affairs turn out", but in a joking way. I think the post was meant to be a spoof on what usually happens when an Aspie does something bad and it's blamed on the AS. Now she turns out to supposedly have AS and is using it as an excuse.

from what have read of her before,she does sound aspie,but think a lot of stuff is being strengthened for excuse.

It's disgusting but you know what is more disgusting? People who believe it and then regurgitate it as ammo towards people with AS.

This is common, murderers, rapists, assailants, and so on are getting off on this defence. In the last few years alone over twenty people have gotten lighter sentances, or even dismissals. It's sickening.

It is, especially since it was usually some other aspect of their personality, or a personality disorder, that drove them to their crimes, not AS. And since there is nothing about AS that would cause someone to not know right from wrong.

The only thing that I might believe a little bit is if a young, inexperienced lonely Aspie was led to believe by more socially adept peers who were pretending to be his/her friends, that he/she was only doing something harmless, when in fact it was something that was furthering a crime. (Like planting drugs on them. Or getting the Aspie to drive them somewhere, when in fact they were escaping a crime and the Aspie was in effect driving the getaway car.)

It sounds like she, and/or her, lawyers are useing AS just to compile a list of as many recognised mental disorders as possible. Is a disgrace, aspies aren't insane and we know right and wrong. This just gives us a bad rap in the intent to get someone off without paying for the mistakes they made.
