Amen to genetic connection--I've recently self-diagnosed as apsie and BOTH my parents are aspies but they'd never admit it. They both have their own intense interests (separate ones unfortunately). They've been married almost 40 years and are basically room-mates spending little time with each other. It bothers my father more than my mother. I think my mother is definitely aspie, while my father may be more borderline or even OCD (his mother was OCD). My mother was adopted but what we learned of her natural mother, she was undeniably aspie. Genetic connection is clear.
