Plus, if the women going over there are thinking of themselves as "ugly", chances are they have low self-esteem and might settle for being treated poorly by some of the men. And some of the men may feel like they're "settling" for "ugly" women and think that gives them the right to treat the women badly. (If they're nice guys they won't, of course, but they may not all be nice guys.)

Hahaha, I think it's hilarious. Good old-fashioned Aussie bluntness. Gotta love it, and good on them too! :D

Really, don't take it so seriously, I doubt any of them do...

Good observation, all too often people forget, not just here because it is extremely unfortunate that it happens all to much in the world, other cultural differences.

I have met many a beautiful people viewed by the outside worlds norms that didn't feel very pretty inside and some very be beautiful people that were beyond ugly, whatever the hell that means anyway, inside they were beyond mean and I do have a better feeling what that is. Some have almost made me a believer in the need for exorcism.

Ugly, beautiful, it's a judgement call by somebody else. Just don't play that game. Madison Avenue has a deep hand in others pockets as to what defines it, we're saturated with the concept. Read Soul on Ice, that was some of the message.

As to the self esteem issue, it's true, it does happen. I've seen it work the other way too, a lot. It's never a real cut and dry issue to begin with. The beauty very well may be in that when two so balled ugly people meet and hit it off, it builds self esteem.

Ugly men I do think should have been in it, bet there might be a few of the gay community out in them there parts too.

No, I still like the over all concept and thanks for pointing out the most likely take from that side of the rabbit fence.
