Cheating is cheating though which has a very nasty effect if you're caught cheating to win medals in the Olympics.

Do you take an interest in Tae quondo Jerry? Some people are saying the English lad got stitched up by the judging when he went up against a Chinese contestant. He was in tears afterwards saying 'what do i have to do to get a point!?'

Not really and more likely those judges have trained in Tae Kwon Do knowing how to score a point and everything. The same is with Kendo and Kumdo because they are judged the same way.

How on earth could they have missed this then? (from another GB - China match, today). This descision was overuled by officials after they were shown pictures. But even to most laypeople - it looks obvious, no need for pictures.

IIRC the middleweight boxing coach was also complaining about the judging - an that was an event he just won.

^They do reviewed things if there is a protest or inquiry which occurs a good bit. Phelps' Gold in 100m Butterfly was protested but the camera and the board don't lie because Phelps did touched first.
Anyway the investigation around the Chinese gymnasts is still going and with documents from the Chinese this isn't going to die quick at all and it is not political matter at all.

I believe that they did lie about the ages of course. But there's not really anyway they can get proof because the Chinese government can basically just forge documents. I don't know if anyone has heard Bela Karolyi's discussions on this, but he lived in Soviet Russia which is a government very similar to China's now and the government often forges documents like that in those countries.

I don't get how they could possibly feel good about getting a gold medal unfairly but whatever... I feel bad for those girls because this isn't really their fault. They are just kids after all.

Yeah I agree and it is still going on though IOC states no proof of underage while FIG continues the investigation to a personal level.
