because everybody liked him. "Everybody liking him" in this case meaning that he was intensely popular, not that he had reached an impossible 100% approval rate.

Someone had to dislike him enough to shoot him.

Well you can't say all that not surprising. There's still white supremacists around, and they are bound to try to pull off something like this, even if it's so badly implemented Obama has a better shot of being struck by lightning twice in the same thunderstorm then falling victim to it.

Why must people hate? While I maintain that hatred is blinding in all cases I consider racism to be one of most blinding forms. I do not hate racists, for it is useless to meet hate with hate, I pity them. For even in my relatively young age I have seen things that disprove everything they preach. It is my hope that before the end as many as possible see the error of their ways, while I must accept that some will carry their beliefs to the grave for every one that finds redemption the future becomes that much brighter.

Oddly enough I still haven't figured out who I'm going to vote for...

Is that what amphetamines do to a person? I was prescribed to Dexadrine and Amphetamine salts for my ADHD. They didn't seem to cause any euphoria or whatever "strung out" means. Rather, they helped me to think faster and concentrate harder on whatever I chose to study.

I've never heard one way or the other, but I am certain anyway that the form of amphetamines prescribed to you is not the same as the street form called 'meth.' Street meth provides a strongly addictive high, and keeps people awake for days at a time during which they often eat and drink practically nothing. People also tend to become violent when they are coming down off of their high.

Another form of amphetamine used in medicine is pseudoephedrine, which is used in allergy meds and cough medicine as a nasal decongestant.

A couple things:
1) as far as I know there is no constant protection for candidates, so if someone tried to kill him now...
2) Killing Obama would horribly, horribly backfire. It would be the stupidest thing anyone who hates him could do. Instant martyr. Especially if it happened after he became president.
3) that said... if you had someone for him who was really f-ed up in the head, and really wanted to take down racism, at any personal cost...

Hey, your life expectancy dropping several years is part of taking the job as president. Even if you don't get killed, they always come out older than they go in. And I don't mean 4-8 years older. That's why McCain might not be the best candidate.
