What sort of coward uses a taser on an 11 year old girl?

Ladycops, apparantly. I'm usually the first one to defend cops on use of force, including tasering, but I agree that this is ridiculous. If nothing else, what does it say about your police force when they can't even subdue an angry elementary school kid without resorting to a weapon? I will say though, what the hell kind of parenting produces a child that punches a cop at 11?

but cops are criminals.. I wouldn't mind punching a cop.. fuuck.

Cops are cowards nowadays.. They use their weapons to feel powerful, instead of their intellect.

I'm not sure your basic beat cops have ever been hired on the basis of intellect.

bullies become cops.. I know. But the training to become a cop is stupid.. there is no moral to the whole operation.. they get into physical shape and then are given weapons and fast cars and are sent out into the world

But not all cops are bullies. I have known a couple people online who are cops and they are no bullies. One of them was my online friend. I even have an aspie friend who has a friend who is a cop. He wants to date her but because of her schedule, they can't even get some time together. They can only hang out at a bar.

Reason why they have to be trained to be a cop is so they can learn how to handle criminals, how to defend themselves against them, how to handle situations, etc. But it seems like lot of them don't follow the rules. I have seen how aggressive they can get with people according to the articles. I think the officer could have handled the 11 year old better. Restrain her and cuff her and take her out to the car and call the parents to come and get her at the police station. If she were still violent, have the other officers carry her out to the car holding her legs.
How big could the 11 year old possibly be? Many of them are still little but some are big. I was over 5 ft when I was 11 but I was a twig.

What's wrong with a little electrocution? :P

I think intellect was probably tried but due to what happened, probably that was the thing she came up with quickly, given what was happening, I mean, you read how was the kid's behaviour right? heck, if you were the adult there, you would not not know what to do and you will get desperate, mostly dealing with someone who would never listen any word said.

Cops are criminals nowadays... I have an ex gf who went to train to be a cop. Who knows what she will turn out like.. I think they drain your morals.. But as you say, some of them are okay, that is true.. but even if half of them are criminals, that's too f*****g much.

A lot of people say they don't believe it until they see the police do something terrible.. there's been lots of people who claim to see cops do outrageous things, and they only believe it after they see it.

Go and read the parenting forum here and ask the parents how many times they've tasered their children. I have two autistic sons who have made a career out of ignoring what they are told and doing what the f**k they like, yet I still manage (as an autistic adult) to control them, discipline them, and generally NOT by taser.

By the same logic.. without a single iota of training, I manage to restrain people several times my size who are filled with boundless drunken aggression, often as not right-wing neo-nazi f***heads who have spent years fighting very dirty, and I do it without resorting to violence or weaponry. This is my weekend job. So I know its possible.

Regardless of what she did.. its an 11 year old child, and the only people who should have a problem stopping one of those are 5 year olds. Tazers are simply not required by anyone, especially someone who is theoretically trained to handle aggressive individuals.
