Fair enough.

I don't have the inclination to rooting around on you tube for every foot in mouth moment Palin or McCain has indulged in. It would probably come out about the same. But I'm not sure.

Yeah, words matter.

Obama can be as clumsy as he wants, but in terms of how awesome his "gaffs" are, Biden is just... he's just awesome. There's nothing more to say.

CentralFLM, you offer two examples of Biden supposedly committing perjury (in the second case, at least, when called on it, he noted that he had frequently quoted from the same person before and had simply forgotten to attribute it on this one occasion - a statement backed by the person he had quoted), and claim this is exactly equal to:

Are you going by what you read on the internet? Because I actually was alive and heard the speech I was talking about from 1988. Joe Biden word by word repeated this story and even gave examples of his kids in the story, when it was actuality the British politicians kids he was talking about. It was obvious Joe was trying to play off like it was his story. This is why he dropped out and was embarrassed. I also put a youtube video were Biden claimed he ranked in the top of his class in college which was a lie.

So I'll pick the VP who has just as much experience as the president of the opposing party over a crook and a liar any day. I don't give a rat's ass what they SAY tonight. I'm just interested in what they have done and will do.

Well, I think their policies are important. But the SNL skit "I'm John McCain, and I approved this message" is pretty accurate - Rove and company made up some wild distortions and lies, and McCain was the mouthpiece. The sex-ed ad was a pretty blatant attempt to make Obama look like a perv, for something he never did. McCain lost the whole concept of honor sometime between 2000 and 2008 - he went from calling the far-right religious bigots 'agents of intolerance' to sucking their toes for votes.
