I Lol'd.

But then I lack any respect for suiciders, and gladly mock it as a selfish and destructive act.

All those adds do is make me feel sad. Pepsi's marketing department really needs to remember that they are supposed to be advertising Pepsi, not making people feel sad.

I think that the advert was in poor taste.

How is that statement any better than Pepsi's pro-suicide advertising?

I just thought it was kind of ironic in a way. Here's Bill, all these years ago, talking about how ad execs should kill themselves, and now these same execs are using suicide to sell their s**t.

i'm guessing pepsi realised the amount of emo's out there who try to get as thin as possible, this'll boost their sales.

as for me, i see it as somewhat creative (the pictures, not the meaning) the same as the books of bunny suicides. most of the time it's meant to be like black comedy, but i do think this is taking it a bit far.

OK, so suicide is not a great thing to be linking to your product. But if it was Suicide Girls that were doing endorsements, that would get me to buy just about anything!! !

I've considered killing myself, and I've known people who have made suicide attempts who I've been worried I would lose, but I don't think there's anything wrong with that advert. I love dark humour, particularly when it relates to suicide.

Someone mentioned Suicide Girls - that I do find a bit distasteful. It seems to use 'suicide' as a word to convey they're cool and unique. I don't really like the subliminal idea there that suicide is cool, unique or sexy. 8O

that's because of the 'emo' culture, groups of people that need attention and so they self harm and pretend to be depressed. suicide is now glamourised, removing the real meaning behind it making more and more people ignore it and think it's something not worth bothering or even talking about.

This is my problem with it exactly. It's damaging to people who are affected by the real meaning of it.

I find it distasteful that they never went through with the Suicide Boys website they claimed they were going to make. I want images of the hawt Goth guys, dammit!
