Have any atheists ever converted to Christianity after studying theology?

Ever heard of the old saying "There are no atheists in foxholes"?
I think there might be some truth in that, in some cases surely.

It seems that Seminary studies may either strengthen or weaken one's religious beliefs and values. It depends on the individual, I think.

man this is confusing. The only 'Planet X' I know of is past the orbit of Pluto, and is currently known as 'Xena', and actually has a small moon orbiting it currently called 'Gabrielle' (both temporary names, but a man can dream...;)

Actually, I think the real name is going to be some Eskimo god or goddess..but they said the name currently would have to start with an X

Something with the mass of a planetoid would have made the major news. I'm not good on physics, but hitting, or nearly hitting Mercury would be some pretty fancy shooting.

God is an Atheist. God stays out of foxholes.

There are many Apollo objects that cross Earth's orbit, and more in the outer regions that we have not been around long enough to see them come through.

We are a speck in the ocean of local space, but stuff still happens. When Shoemaker-Levi struck, the explosion was about the size of Earth.

I did not watch the video. There is at least one huge long period comet, it is due, but it is the will of the Creator of the Universe.

Acceptance overcomes Theology.

I see someone changed the title :) Thank you. What does the bible say about dinosaurs? According to that, they do not and never exist

Actually, Eris is the dwarf planet formerly known as Xena (with Gabrielle being renamed Dysnomia).

In fact, what's this business of Eris crossing Mercury's orbit mentioned in the first post? do you understand how far out it is? I can't find anything about it anywhere - Wikipedia, NASA or anywhere else. Was something simply not understood well?

Eris is also the reason why Pluto is a dwarf planet now, along with Ceres (the largest asteroid in the asteroid belt and the first to be discovered. In fact, for about two decades in the early 19th century, it was thought to be a planet itself), and Haumea and Makemake (two bodies in between Pluto and Eris). The only big object past Pluto that isn't a dwarf planet is Sedna, one the most distant objects to orbit the sun.

so I'm not crazy after all...;)

I thought that planet was orbiting quietly towards the Oort cloud...;) Of course, I have a stake in the matter; since Pluto was demoted, they can't do my horoscope anymore (Pluto was Scorpio's 'planet')...or maybe they just don't count as much...;)

info about the planet as well

What his guy is saying is that somehow this planet crossed past mercury and didnt suck it into the sun . It should have because its mass was so great that it had enough gravity to pull the planet into the sun.

Also it would have messed up earth so bad that we would be lucky to have enough people to repopulate.

I think thats proof enough for me. I'm greatfull the earth did not end . Arent you?

the guy who made this video fails Astronomy forever.

As stated before. Eris is in the Kuiper Belt which is beyond Pluto, which it's comparable in size to.

Passing the orbit of Mercury does not automatically mean that something will be sucked into the sun. Ask NASA who currently have several probes orbiting closely to the sun right now.

A comet? twice the size of Jupiter? it's not a comet then. Also, twice the size of Jupiter is very big. We should be able to see this if it existed.

This Nibiru thing this dude talks about in the video that he links to Eris somehow? It's based on partially on Sumerian legend, partially on ignorance of astronomy and part complete boneheadery. This is the Wikipedia entry on "Hypothetical Planets", marked at the entry for Nibiru.

Thankfully, Youtube is filled with skeptics. Here's some of the comments on that video:

"there is just too much that doesn't add up here. If there was really a comet twice the size of Jupiter in our solar system the gravitational effects would be devastating... just because he said that was from NASA doesn't mean it really was... I didn't see the whole seminar... did he give proof? what are his credentials? don't believe everything you see on the net is all I'm sayin."

"I'm sorry this needs to be put to sleep. We can look up and see Jupiter as distant as it is... do you actually believe that no human being would have seen this with the naked eye?!? And this object (comet) with the way he is comparing it to the "sun" would not be twice the size of Jupiter when Jupiter does not even compare to the size of the sun. The sun takes up 99% or more of the mass within the solar system and then Jupiter out of that remaining 1% takes up another 99%."
