A proper psychiatric examination should be conducted of someone before any allegation of neurological or mental condition made of said person. Media Hype of this nature is unethical and I think should be unlawful.

This is known as spree killing not the same as a serial killer.

so? it makes no differance it doesn't make it less worse no matter how you call it (and in dutch we usually use serial killer for people that do these kind of things).

Throwing about the names of any condition in connection with a person guilty of a high-profile violent crime (diagnosed or not) is shameful in my opinion. It's disgusting, ignorant and damaging to so many people.

I'm as concerned by the throwing around of the label of Schizophrenia as I am Autism. Seeing how I've seen the words 'nutcase' and 'crazy' used already. People with serious Psychiatric conditions are no more likely to run out and murder people than someone with an Autistic Spectrum disorder.

I'm also suprised people here seem to care alot less about the unfair stigmatization of mental illness in the media, but get so upset about ASD's being treated the same.
