Actually though, crapper didn't invent the toilet. He just perfected it. The Romans were using indoor plumbing over 2,000 years ago.

But seriously, the modern toilet is no less of an engineering marvel than the telephone. I bet it's the end product of much trial and error.

True but the toilet doesn't dispose of your crap, pee, and vomit. Then again some conversations people have over the phone are as crappy, pissy, and vomitile as anything else!
