Owen Jones - the gift that never fails to keep on giving. The man is brilliant! :lol

Thanks for the laugh, mate. :D

My dad's a Tory supporter. I'm sure he'll be off to a ritual stoning of gay people tonight. I'll have to show him this.

Dear Tequila,

If I understand this, some of your (British) politicians are more fearful of Gay Rights than Radical Islam?

Or was the point the moderate Muslim polical figures accept Homosexuality as a facet of the culture, proving that Muslims CAN adjust to the society they live in?

So says the Geneva Convention.

Oh, the Geneva Convention! I remember that thing. Is that the one which defines "war of aggression" as a war crime? I forget.

'Radical Islam' isn't radical. 'Scriptural Islam' or perhaps 'Islamic literalism' would be better.

Most people in this country really don't care about gay marriage either way. Some support it, some don't. Some people in the Conservative Party support it, some don't. My dad doesn't care either way.

My point was that even the most homophobic opponents of gay marriage here don't call for gay people to be killed (as happens in Islamic countries).

The main point is that we do already have civil partnerships in this country, which gives all the legal benefits of marriage without calling it marriage.

I was being deeply sarcastic. My point was is that Owen Jones's point is, well... I don't know what his point is.

Waha'abiism is Islamic puritanism. It's as if Cromwell was loaded with more money than everyone else in Christendom and imposed his will on all these people.

I admit to being quite lost....where do the Waha'abiists fit in with the Shiites and Sunnis?

Who are the violent Jihadists promising young men 72 virgins for suicide bombing?

Wahhabism is a sect of Sunni Islam.

These are associated with terrorist bombers from all the major sects of extreme Islam, but the general point is that if you're in that mindset already, that's what you'll expect if you become an Islamic martyr.
