Trump is out of his tree.
I think a lot of Republicans are happy to have a good excuse to drop this fool.

Also, anyone with half a brain could see Trump was bad news. His supporters....even worse.

Partisanship. Really?
You did say a lot of Trump supporters are dropping him like a hot potato.
Talk about Trump making a politically bad move.

XFilesGeek wrote:
Any of the "centrists" and "moderates" who have tried to defend his nonsense, and repeat the mantra, "both sides are equally bad" should be feeling pretty embarrassed right now. Do you want fascism? Because this is how you get fascism.

So, now you are lashing out at people who want to be rational, reasonable and non-partisan?
"My way or the highway"?
I don't think so, Tim. 8)

Your reasoning is erroneous.
Republicans are turning on Trump, and rightly so. 8)
There is no "binary" here.

you're projecting your own emotionalism onto Xfiles, who just stating the rational obvious.

How so?

"Evidence".
Show me where I am thinking illogically.

naturalplastic wrote:

It usually does.
But I will amend.
Rational, reasonable *and* objective.

naturalplastic wrote:
If you really were rational reasonable and nonpartisan you have seen Trump as grifting snake he is from the get go back in 2016.

If *you* were rational, you wouldn't be using emotive terminology.

Notice that Xfiles put "moderate" into quotes. Because that not what the said folks really were anyway. They partisan supporters of Trump, or his dupes.

XFG was attacking anyone who had a non-partisan view, also.
I find this odd.

I am not lashing out at anyone.
I am being rational, reasonable, objective, and incorporating new information as it comes my way.
I.E. The usual. 8)

Saying that Trump is a grifter is simply stating an objective fact.

Why do accuse Xfiles of lashing out at folks who are moderate and objective when she is not doing that all? And why do you react so emotionally by falsly accusing her? You obviously ARE being quite irrational.

And its not that you are "removed" from the US. Its that you're ignorant of the issues and fail to see implications that americans see.

The victim has been identified as air force vet and Californian Trump supporter Ashli Babbitt, with her husband confirming the news with KUSI-TV.

Just a day before her death, Babbitt took to Twitter to vow that "nothing will stop us".

"They can try and try and try but the storm is here and it is descending upon DC in less than 24 hours ... dark to light," she posted.

Babbit also retweeted on Wednesday morning (US time) a "MUST BE DONE LIST before Congress meets today".

It included, "Mike Pence must resign & thereafter be charged with TREASON" and "Chief Justice John Roberts must RESIGN".

I am guessing she is one of those who punched their way through the whitehouse windows and get her head bliown off by the security guards doing their job (well done)

Her identity also puts to rest the Antifa lie being spread by some members of the GOP

I don't jump to conclusions.
Did you personally see what happened?
Was she armed?
In what circumstance is it justified to "get her head bliown off by the security guards doing their job (well done)"?

To me, it seems like a gross over-reaction, but I prefer to wait until all the facts are in before I make my own considered opinion.
I think we have had this discussion several times.

From the BBC:

Quote:
DC Mayor Bowser and police chief Robert Contee just held a presser about the Capitol Hill protest.

They said the woman who was shot was part of a group of multiple individuals that forced entry into the House room that was still in session.

They were confronted by plainclothes officers, and an officer pulled out a weapon and fired it.

The woman was taken to hospital and proclaimed dead. Her ID is being withheld by authorities until next of kin are notified.

No indication why it was necessary to shoot her.
Was she carrying a weapon?

Also, assuming the report is correct, it is in conflict with what cyberdad said.

And yet you keep trolling the forum. So much for emotional distance.

Define "trolling".
Do you mean I "troll" because I have a different opinion?
Do you mean I "troll" because I am not partisan?
Do you mean I "troll" because I have emotional discipline?
Do you mean I "troll" because I have a logical, rather than an emotionalistic argument?

BTW, Isn't being called a "troll" a personal attack?

Have you ever stopped to consider why so many people seem to find interacting with you unpleasant? It probably isn't because we're all out to get you.

weapon or not, her mere physicality breaking into their "house" was sufficient to engage in self-defense. what would you do if somebody violently broke into YOUR house?

Um, it's exactly how I proposed it went down!?

They said the woman who was shot was part of a group of multiple individuals that forced entry into the House room that was still in session.

You didn't acknowledge the photo I posted...here it is again

Image
If she was dumb enough to cross into a sitting session of the whitehouse with plains clothes officers pointing loaded weapons then nobody should be surprised by the outcome.

In post 9-11 America you cant even get into a museum or an art gallery or a local courthouse without filing single file through a metal detector.

So being part of mob that is invading a session of Congress in the Capitol building is obviously taking your life into your hands.

I almost got gunned down myself...by a pair of lady traffic cops, just because I spooked them by reaching in an unexpected direction to retrieve my registration for them.

If I can almost get killed just for not keeping my registration in my glove compartment, then I would assume that....helping to overthrow the goverment by attacking all of Congress...would be...at least as dangerous!
