Got a haircut today,I wanted to schedule one for tommorow but they said come in today,we don't know if we will be open tommorow.

Only one other person in the salon,restaurants are open but for take out or delivery only.

I usually only do take out or delivery anyways. And I never go to a barber. I can only tolerate my mom giving my shaggy mop a trim once in a while. Hopefully things will go back to more usual in April.

If businesses have to say closed for too long, the number of homeless is likely to increase quite a bit.

My massage therapist left a message asking if I wanted to go in, because he has a lot of availability.



I felt so badly for him. He's a good man and I'm sure it's safe .... but no thanks.

The UVC source is buried deep into the unit so no light escapes. The air just passes through the light.

(Snapshot of the rural English Midlands today)

Walked back through town after work today, and had a few groceries to get.
First supermarket (the middle class one): 95% empty, no veg, no dry food, no frozen food.
Second supermarket (the doing ok working class one) 75% empty.
Third supermarket (the only just managing working class one) 50% empty.

Independent pubs all shuttered.

Chain pubs open, but looks like they weren’t getting much trade.

Town virtually empty by 4:15pm: only places I saw people were queues of school kids at Burger King and McDonald’s.

Nothing wrong with good people owning guns Most gun owners in America are nice people and will give you the shirt off their back as with any group of people you have the bad apples which people focus and base their prejudices off of.(not talking about you)

Prefab can be just as good as the "real thing."

In the U.S. there has been a major move towards downsizing of hospitals. The government has gotten its hands into hospitals by dictating how many beds should be available and how long patients should stay in the hospital before they are discharged. The result is many hospital are closing their door.

Many of these closed hospitals have not be torn down. It might make some sense to reactive these facilities rather than build new from scratch.

Because they WERE hospitals, after all.....

I think in my country you could get arrested for something like this. Probably wouldn't be for one occurence but if you really pissed them off, they could finally do it.

I'm assuming that the impact to economies is going to be financially devastating. If businesses are to remain closed for extended periods, they will not remain viable for long. The overall impacts of the virus haven't even really begun.
