How hard for advanced countries to urgently mass-produce proper masks enough for their populace?

US, Europe and basically all non-Asian countries will pay the price very high for their "only healthcare workers need masks" policy. As if other people are immune to airborne transmission.

Macy's, Bloomingdale's, Nordstrom to close all stores because of coronavirus

At the end of business Tuesday, Macy's Inc. said it would close all stores including Bloomingdale's locations through March 31. Store websites will remain open for shopping anytime.

“The health and safety of our customers, colleagues and communities is our utmost priority. As a result of the recent COVID-19 developments, we have decided to temporarily close our stores," Jeff Gennette, Macy's Inc. chairman and CEO, said in a news release. "We will work with government and health officials to assess when we will reopen our stores and safely bring our colleagues back to work.”

Macy’s, Inc. says it "will provide benefits and compensation to its impacted workforce."

Nordstrom also announced that its stores including its Nordstrom Rack locations would close for two weeks starting Tuesday.

Meanwhile, J.C. Penney and Kohl's currently say they are reducing store hours.

I just read that a Frozen II actress has tested positive for the Coronavirus. Her name is Rachel Matthews. I thought "Oh Nooooo! How am I going to break the news to my granddaughter." She absolutely loves that film. Then I thought "Wait a minute". Frozen II is an animation. Generally only live persons contract the virus. Hmmmm! Had to dig a little deeper. Rachel Matthews is a voice actress who was the voice of Honeymaren in the film.

I am glad, that was straightened up. But should I mention it to my granddaughter. Or just keep mummmmm!

Some useful info. Use Tylenol/Paracetamol for respitory issues, not ibuprofen. I didn't know this before.

Four Brooklyn Nets players test positive for coronavirus, team announces

White House official calls coronavirus ‘Kung-Flu’ to Asian-American reporter as Trump defends ‘Chinese flu’

Trump, and Congress, are probably going to pass a bill which would send checks out to Americans. Mitt Romney was talking about giving each American $1,000---maybe that's a cue for Trump and gang?

They're talking about people receiving the money in about two weeks.

It better be tax free!

I read an article today where a Belgian doctor said the lung xrays of some otherwise healthy 30-50 year olds with no medical conditions are shocking in the amount of severe lung damage they show.

She is 8 years old. She identifies with the character Anna whereas her older sister is Elsa. It has to do with a pairing of two sisters.

She has been one of the quiet ones. But recently she has begun to come out of her shell.

I tried to teach her about the Easter eggs hidden in some films. I didn't see any extras on the DVD explaining their Easter eggs. But they did have a music video of the theme song in 3 different languages. She was captivated by this. She almost started to sing along in the different languages.

As panicked Americans wipe store shelves clean of hand sanitizer in an effort to stave off the novel coronavirus, others have been scouring their pantry for ingredients to make a concoction of their own. But those efforts can land you in a medical emergency unrelated to COVID-19 should you mix the wrong chemicals together.

In a letter sent out from one Connecticut town’s office of emergency management, officials warned residents against mixing household bleach and ammonia, as doing so produces a toxic gas called chloramine that could cause shortness of breath and chest pain. Additionally, residents were warned against using household bleach and vinegar, which can produce a chlorine gas that causes coughing, breathing problems, burning and watery eyes.

Residents were also urged to avoid mixing household bleach and rubbing alcohol, as it produces chloroform -- which is highly toxic, and to keep hydrogen peroxide and vinegar separate, as the combination could produce peracetic/peroxyacetic acid, which is a highly corrosive solution.

But long-term, Florida might be the worst of all.

#1 rank in the U.S. for senior citizens.

Population over 60 = 26.5%

Took a walk for a medicine run today about 4 to 5PM

On a mild day people were out walking about with their kids. I saw no masks, and I was the only one with gloves. There was plenty of traffic.

Except for Tylenol out at CVS it felt more like a Saturday than a Pandemic day.
