I just have to stay completely out of politics, social issues, etc. Although I did manage to refrain from a giant rant this time.
I just really can't understand why some people think and believe the things they do sometimes.
I guess that's the easiest way to say it.

Thank you though.

Carry on, folks.

^^^that is probably the intelligent thing to do. I should be as wise but when I see outrages, I feel that now and then I gotta say something to counter them.

On the subject of who can afford to pay....lets put aside how much revenue dis proportionally goes into the deep pockets of upper management and what little trickles down to those who work 40-50 hr week on minimum or below minimum wage.

There are also plenty of companies that are running on a loss where the CEOs and upper management continue milking the company for their retainer
Just one example
https://www.aol.com/article/finance/201 ... /20920130/

It's a little disturbing where a company is having a 500 million dollar loss and it's CEO is the primary liability for the company continuing to raking in 140 million of the workers savings and superannuation funds.

The current POTUS himself ran 6 companies to bankruptcy...sending many hard working Americans into debt...yet working class Americans think in hard economic times its ok to pump money into the military and not do anything about jobs, health or education

unfortunately, I hate to talk about my own class like this, it pains me, but jay gould had the amuuurican working class [ONLY the amuuricans] sussed out a century ago when he said "I could hire one half of the working class to kill off the other half." it is like "we have met the enemy, and he is US." :| there is no sense of brotherhood, it is more like a drowning pool where people are shoving each other's heads under the water to push themselves up and buy themselves a bit more time.

The old Industrial Workers of the World (IWW, or Wobblies) are still kicking around, though much diminished from what they had once been. They understood, the best way for the working class to come out on top was for all workers regardless of race or background to organize together into "the one big union." Maybe we ought to look into breathing new life into them.

Those are good speeches, but they don't address the current real life issues I laid out. Seems like it's always pontificating or stats people offer when defending the current healthcare system in America, while avoiding the brass tacs of it. Milions of hard working working class people who are totally screwed over by it. And not asking for it to be removed, but just asking that it be made more reasonable. But in the minds of some that seems to translate as the rich want to kill off the poor.

how do we accomplish this? how do we counter the overwhelming force of the CEOs who whisper to the worker, "psst, watch out for that union guy, he wants a piece of your cookie," after he snarfed all the rest of 'em on the worker's plate.

Unfortunately, things have to get very bad for working people before they realize that the much maligned unions are their best friends. Maybe then, working people will realize that, no matter how hard they work at their jobs, they aren't going to die rich. Far from it, they will realize this only when they are thrown off the job after years of service, old and broken down, with nothing to show for it.

I think it may be their children who pick up the torches and pitchforks. if it is not too late by then.

The thing is, though, conservatives have never really wanted to give people any sort of health coverage for all. Their original battle cry had been to end Obamacare, with no talk of replacement. Then it was end Obamacare, then replace it afterwards. Finally, conservatives told people what they really wanted to hear: they'd replace Obamacare with something better. Now, Trump seems to have forgotten all about that promise as he's starving the ACA of revenue. Seriously, where's his new plan?
Maybe the rich aren't plotting specifically to kill the poor, but they certainly could care less if the poor die.

mebbe if the old body holds out a bit longer. judging from what is written on the Georgia Guidestones, I am guessing the 1% feel the time is near for a culling of the rest of us. google it.

Okay, I remember seeing a documentary on the Georgia Guidestones.

one of the tenets engraved on it is to reduce the world population to a quarter billion.
