Some people say that it is Biden's weakness that has caused pootin to act now.
Pootin was just waiting for the right moment.

Yup, I'm afraid Biden's pacifism is misplaced - just as I opposed leaving Afghanistan, for what Afghans suffer now is worse than what they had during the occupation.
War is bad because of harm it causes - but peace full of harm is no better than a war.

I'm glad I'm not the only one here who points that out.

I seriously doubt Putin wouldn't have moved on Ukraine if Trump was still in the White House. Trump would refuse to side with Ukraine, let alone be at the head of a NATO Anti-Russian coalition.

Speculation.
What isn't speculation is that Biden was the President who was in power when pootin invaded Ukraine.
Biden was also in charge of the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan.
Perhaps you have forgotten. ;)

To any pootin apologists, please present your argument in a detailed and considered way.
There is a one-way ticket to russia for the best post.

There was that one British guy who gave his home as Palestine, and who absolutely loved Russia and Putin, while America, Israel, NATO (especially Germany), and Ukraine could do no right. He and I used to argue all the time.

I remember him.
Something "Power"/"Powell"?

Correct. He got booted off of WP for his Anti-Semitism.

And he had a Homer simpson as avatar.

Same IQ as him too.

Ahem... I don't moderate PPR content about Eastern Europe but discussing banned members is also against WP rules.

Why is it our business to decide what the Afghan people want? Did you know a US ally Pakistan propped up the Taliban insurgency? Did you also know that the Afghans hate foreign occupation forces even more than Somali and Iraqi people?

I watch the news and sanctions work. the Taliban is softening their position against women. The current Taliban leadership want to reach out to the rest of the world. They know what happens when they oppress their people or meddle in foreign national security by supporting international terror.

Biden is responding to Putin's aggression in a way I'm certain Trump - who is currently praising the Russian strongman - would never have.
Biden was honoring an agreement made with the Afghan government... made by Trump.
