Common cold - often caused by coronaviruses - can be deadly for those who grew up without any contact with it - but people living in the civilization have constant contact with them, so their immunological systems deal with them effectively.
The new strain is just... new. We had no chance to gain relative immunity to it yet.


The word is that it is mutating to a less aggressive form already. I believe what really helps with not contracting existing coronaviruses are vaccinations where the inactive virus is injected causing immunity or at least good resistance.

Well I have had 2 weeks of quarantine and I am just about ready to jump out of the window. Aaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrgggggghhhhhhh.

From an historical perspective, it is well known that warm weather does lessen the effect of these epidemics the vast majority of the time.

The one exception is the 1918 Pandemic.

I use my semi-disposable razor for months.

I’m sure the fact they lack testing kits has anything to do with it :roll:

I feel like it's because corona-type viruses don't do too well in the heat.

People do die though. 7,700 people in the US die every day. And probably 80% of that 3% who died of covid-19 were close to death anyways, like the first person who died from it in NYC who was 82 and already had respiratory disease.

Even in Hubei Province, China, the mortality rate for the COVID-19 was less than 1% until a person becomes 60 years old.

I don't know, maybe pushing cheese products could be the answer to this toilet paper dilemma. Hmmm.

Oh...I've a line on a sizable quantity of corncobs if anyone is interested. (Manual not included. )

It’s happening everywhere. South America has it and it’s hot down there too. Africa is 3rd world nation with very little or not tests and crap medical system. Very similar but worse then North Korea. Just cause they don’t have any confirmed cases doesn’t mean they don’t have cases.

Cause everyone knows if you don’t test for it, then it’s nit happening.
Likewise if you in a burning building just close your eyes and now your safe.

The Coronavirus cases in Australia are coming, primarily, from people not from Australia.

Australia has had 83,000 people tested; only 565 positives were elicited from this testing. A much lower rate than what's occurring in the US, which has had 71,000 tests, with 7,000 positives.

I'm not saying there shouldn't be concern in Australia. There should be.
