Breaking: Active Shooter(s) In Mandalay Bay Hotel (NSFW)
About the rush of false information that follows tragedies.
I can see waiting to make sure you have the right identification and to not make assumptions about any group or religion affiliation. However, those pictures were leaked and we all can see a note. What is on the note? Simple question. What they usually do is try to change the topic to something else hoping that eventually everyone will forget or get tired off asking. What could be on that letter that they don't want us to know?

Saturday Night Live called Trump a Cheap Cracker. Wtf?! Freaking A-holes. That was a black guy calling Trump that. Pathetic. The Left is totally getting out of control.

There's an interesting tidbit in the Comments (I almost always read the Comments - often I learn more, there, than from an article), that says that there are pictures of the shooter on YouTube, that show him and his girlfriend at Anti-Trump rallies in Reno (where he also owns a home).

He treated his girlfriend badly saying he had bought her. That could be what the money was for he sent to Philippines.

I don't think President Trump, is buying into that and 99% of the members on a very large gun forum I am on laughs at Alex Jones BS...
Trump certainly hasn't endorsed Jones' idiotic lunacy in regard to Vegas, but he has expressed his support for Jones in the past.
I listen to all different news sources (except anyone who is knowingly on the Left - CNN, MSNBC). I did get a lot of my most up-to-date information from Alex Jones during the Ebola breakout. Normally I would get my news that is not on Fox from Glenn Beck and the radio (Limbaugh, Hannity, etc). Stopped listening to Beck after his lack of support during the election. One should be able to get information from all different sources and make an educated decision about what is correct. I also have listened to CNN as a last resort to get the other side's take on a certain subject, but I will never watch MSNBC.
I believe Trump has supported both Alex Jones and Michael Savage. From the latest radio that I listened to, Savage had turned on Trump and I can't recall the reason right now - it was several months ago. Now I don't have the time to listen to both TV and radio like I would like.
Ebola outbreak? Outside of Africa? What Ebola outbreak?
When Michael Savage attacked people with autism, the decision that he was my enemy for life was made for me. The fact that Jones made the accusation that no children were ever killed at Sandy Hook, and that their grieving parents were just actors, is so below contempt and heartless that anything Jones now says I consider to automatically be a lie.

That's hardly my definition of a break out.

That's your prerogative. Just because someone says one or two things I disagree with doesn't mean I quit listening to them for life.

It's more than just one or two things, though. Savage, and especially Jones, poison the airwaves with hate and paranoia. The fact is, mass shooters are not under the control of the government, nor are they and their victim's families just actors. And to say such things must be like a knife in the broken hearts of the survivors and the loved ones left behind.

It's in poor taste to use a tragedy like this to further a political agenda and that's what I always see from the anti's. Let them talk about gun control, though. It only helps to expose them as the opportunists that they are.
In Australia our most right wing prime minister John Howard himself took steps to limit access to high powered weapons following the port Arthur massacre. At personal risk to himself (he wore a bullet proof vest) he spoke to gun owners about the now famous "gun buy back"
http://www.smh.com.au/comment/john-howa ... o4nd5.html
The Port Arthur massacre was a statistical anomaly with nothing before it even on the same scale. It was just used as an excuse for a gun ban. Massacre by arson seems to be the preferred method over there.
"Assault weapon" registration laws even in the bluest states like Connecticut and New York to name a few is going largely ignored by gun owners. I don't see it fairing even close to that good in more conservative states.
I guess I should ask what you mean by "high powered" when the most common caliber for the AR-15 is the 5.56mm NATO (a.k.a. .223 Remington in sporting circles) is basically a varmint hunting caliber better suited to woodchucks and coyotes. This is one of those areas that we really nail anti-gunners to the wall; their gross lack of subject matter knowledge.

I understood from this thread that now is not the time to politicise this.
