But he could have a second term in the bag before Nov. 2020 and just say f**k it and not run again.

i don't know raptor. i am not as rednecked as you are i believe.
i do not gloat over the angst by those people who think the sky is falling....(henny penny's). i just see it as stupid.
i believe trump will not relinquish his role as president as long as he can resist it.
he seems born to it really. he has a very "healthy" ego, and he has impeccable business acumen.
he also is innately keen to marketing concepts.
someone said in this thread "he should get off twitter and get to work".
well he is the only president ever that gives daily updates to the masses about what his thoughts are.
his tweets are shoe horned into 160 characters, but he gets the message out.
his twitter feeds are for the world to read and not written by speech writers.
without his tweets, america would be much more scared of him. if he hid behind a cloak like all the previous presidents and only said carefully crafted lines, then the speculations would be much more bizarre.
i can read his facebook page and say something to him if i like.
i know he could never get around to reading all the comments, but at least there is no seeming censorship on his page.
well done. a genius stroke.

i think it is impatience by the poorest that always thwarts long term advancement. they say "he's been in for a year now and i haven't seen a cent in relief"

well it takes time to trickle down. maybe 10 years or so even.
but people will not wait.
they want change all the way to ground level immediately.

his ego is so huge ( a good thing i am sure) that he will not give up running america because it is the highlight of his life, and he knows he is good at economic planning .

What's your definition of a redneck and how do I fit into that? Understand that I don't consider being called a redneck to be an insult, but it's interesting to see the ways people define redneck.

He won't want to quit but it's a very demanding and taxing job and he's not a young man or even middle age any more. By mid 2020 he may no longer feel up to it not want to face another four years. I'm not saying or wishing this will happen but the possibility is there.

I didnt see that post but it wouldnt surprise me if it came from someone who doesn't work or even try to.

Interesting question. I don't really consider myself one, but on the other hand don't necessarily consider it an insult either. The rednecks I've known have been far removed from the stereotypical rednecks that exist in the minds of the ill informed.
Besides, I shine better as an insulter than an insultee.

well "redneck" is a term i have never really determined the accurate meaning of.
but i suppose it is someone who....yeah the term is quite indistinct.

i bet he can not say yes or no because there is no real definition i can think of.

but it's like a "yokel" or a "hick". like someone who drives a pickup truck in a flannelette checkered shirt and has hard core beliefs that, while they may have temporary sense, can not change.

More likely I'd intentionally collide with them and make then cry. I don't know which one you're referring to but progressives seem to hate anything remotely redneck.....which only makes me want to be one.

All those tax cuts do is inflate the savings accounts of the super rich. If the Republicans were really dedicated to trickle down, they'd pass and enforce laws in which corporations would have to demonstrate how they had reinvested their tax refunds and hired more people, or else be required to repay said tax refunds.

More money in pockets of rich

Just about all rednecks I've known have been gentlemen much more so than some of the foul mouthed and rude progressives I've encountered.

well i admit i don't know what they are.
he does not need to be defended by you.

i just do not want to join into any pool of non malleable agreement.
i think raptor speaks the truth. he certainly is worth reading and i read all hist posts that i notice.
but there is a tendency in raptor in my view to just make fun of the opposition and sit on his laurels.

but i am an australian on the other side of the world, so i have concluded my sentiments on the matter. you are living in it and so is he.

and the "rain" in this metaphor is the economic stimulation created by massive profits.
the government can not own everything.
they just benefit from it.
they stimulate it.
it fills their coffers.
when the debt your previous government incurred is paid (not by austerity measures either), then universal health care can be addressed.
everything can be addressed if there is almost complete employment.
even out in the sticks where "lizard mom" (sp?) lives, there will be benefits.
the amount of relief the upsurge in jobs creates on the welfare expenditure is enormous.
welfare must cost you hundreds of billions per year. probably more.
in australia it is $190 billion per year, but we have a much more generous welfare system than you which may bring the multiplication factor down somewhat on your side.

any significant relief on that burden is hugely needed.

auntblabby wrote:

well if it didn't, then you would not have a cent.
___________

seriously, it is interesting to see the social convention of polarization into 2 congealed pools of opinion.

i will talk about the anti trumpers in the following sentences.
many people here in this thread have voiced their opinions and predictions before trump was even elected.
they wrote detailed hard thought out "missives" and they , by their assertions, staked the credibility of their logical minds (pride?) on the outcome conforming to their predictions.
they will never give up their original stance even in the face of blunt proof of the fallibility of their original "logically disseminated" conclusions. they will not give up their views because their ego is at stake.

i am talking about the strident ones like kraihgauer (sp?) and cyberdad the rest of the passengers on the "good ship lollypop".

if trump fails however, i will eat my words and admit i was never educated in the likely outcomes of anything in the first place. i would say "it just goes to show that running countries is a lot more difficult than i ever imagined"
i bet many pro trumpers will go down with the ship if he fails playing like the band on the titanic.

i don't know aunt blabby but you are more eloquent than the words you can "impactfully" choose to say.

You missed the "c" in Kraichgauer.
FULL SPEED AHEAD ON THE GOOD SHIP LOLLYPOP!! !!
