i believe trump will not relinquish his role as president as long as he can resist it.

Interesting question. I don't really consider myself one, but on the other hand don't necessarily consider it an insult either. The rednecks I've known have been far removed from the stereotypical rednecks that exist in the minds of the ill informed.

All those tax cuts do is inflate the savings accounts of the super rich. If the Republicans were really dedicated to trickle down, they'd pass and enforce laws in which corporations would have to demonstrate how they had reinvested their tax refunds and hired more people, or else be required to repay said tax refunds.

and the "rain" in this metaphor is the economic stimulation created by massive profits.
the government can not own everything.
they just benefit from it.
they stimulate it.
it fills their coffers.
when the debt your previous government incurred is paid (not by austerity measures either), then universal health care can be addressed.
everything can be addressed if there is almost complete employment.
even out in the sticks where "lizard mom" (sp?) lives, there will be benefits.
the amount of relief the upsurge in jobs creates on the welfare expenditure is enormous.
welfare must cost you hundreds of billions per year. probably more.
in australia it is $190 billion per year, but we have a much more generous welfare system than you which may bring the multiplication factor down somewhat on your side.

any significant relief on that burden is hugely needed.

seriously, it is interesting to see the social convention of polarization into 2 congealed pools of opinion.

i will talk about the anti trumpers in the following sentences.
many people here in this thread have voiced their opinions and predictions before trump was even elected.
they wrote detailed hard thought out "missives" and they , by their assertions, staked the credibility of their logical minds (pride?) on the outcome conforming to their predictions.
they will never give up their original stance even in the face of blunt proof of the fallibility of their original "logically disseminated" conclusions. they will not give up their views because their ego is at stake.

i am talking about the strident ones like kraihgauer (sp?) and cyberdad the rest of the passengers on the "good ship lollypop".

if trump fails however, i will eat my words and admit i was never educated in the likely outcomes of anything in the first place. i would say "it just goes to show that running countries is a lot more difficult than i ever imagined"
