Almost as ironic as people who would normally object to police violence cheering it on when it's done to people whose politics they don't like.

-edit Thank you, my Ambien is kicking in and melting my grammar

If you read what I posted I wasn't cheering it. The police need to be bought under control, I just thought the republicans might be influenced to be more bipartisan if their own stormtroopers are getting their teeth knocked out by their "boys in blue"

Carlson wasn't the one making a completely unsubstantiated claim, he was mocking someone for making such a claim. I'm also not sure why you're so quick to so completely trust a politician, though I suspect it has something to do with what letter follows her name.

Even PolitiFact, hardly a bastion of right wing views, will tell you that AOC isn't exactly a font of truth:

Fully 60% false or pants on fire...

But not a single one of those fact checks deny she had been the victim of sexual assault, or that she legitimately feared she would be raped on the 6th.

Because that can't be checked because there is no evidence. The fact that she's got negative numbers for her claims that have been checked should tell you that any unsubstantiated claims she makes should be taken with a grain of salt, but again, she has that magic D after her name...

Well, that wasn't an AR15, that was a dealer sample G36 (don't worry, I have plenty of actual AR15s, the damn things have a tendency to multiply in the gun safe), and in another conversation I realized that photo of me was 17 years old, so a new avatar seemed in order. Seeing as how I often feel like I'm bringing a gun to a knife fight here, and not wanting to give the trolls a more recent photo of me to reverse image search, 'parry this you filthy casual' seemed like a good choice.

You might be surprised at how much anti-police sentiment there is on the American right, but this isn't what's driving it, they see this kind of abuse in more political terms, particularly when contrasted with the treatment of many of the BLM rioters over the course of 2020. If you actually want to get the right on board with reforming the police, drop the racial angle and argue that bad cops are bad for everyone, years of having race used as a political cudgel by the left have rendered the right completely immune to racial appeals.

Well, if an army of rabid inbreds was breaking into a nearby building with threats of lynching, I'd personally be alarmed for my safety, especially if I'm associated with a group they made clear they want to kill. I still believe her.
Incidentally, I have no doubt that Pence felt his life was in danger, and he has an R behind his name.

Actually, I'm going to take another stab at this part: How am I supposed to take all the rhetoric about this deadly mob seriously when in the most heavily armed country on earth, a group made up of right wing wackos who are the most likely to own guns, supposedly storm the capitol with deadly intent without a single gun amongst them? I strap on a pistol to mow the lawn, and I'm supposed to believe these guys were trying to assassinate Congress and the Veep with bear spray and flag poles? They're on their way to overthrow the US government, but they care so much about DC gun laws that they all left their ARs in Virginia?

Because of the DC gun laws, the mob wouldn't have gotten anywhere near the capitol.
Being that they assaulted police officers on duty, and smashed through windows and doors, tell me they were dangerous even without firearms.
You're not seriously suggesting those fanatics weren't attempting to overturn a legal election by means of terror, are you?
The rioters ranted about lynching Pence, and they had a gallows prepared. But you say pence and congress had no reason to be afraid.

Just because those dumb inbreds didn't succeed hardly means it wasn't a legitimate attempt at an insurrection in DC.

Again, try seeing it from her perspective. Or does empathy have as liberal bias?
