Are you saying that Israel aims to conquer all of Iraq, Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, and Saudi Arabia? If so, what is your evidence that Israel has such far-reaching imperialist aims?

I think Barchan is referring to the biblical Greater Israel.

A fantasy for some extreme zionist movements and a dense material for conspiracy theories.

I think they want original Israel, and the West Bank for religious reasons, the Golan Heights because they over look a thin slice of original Israel. As for Lebanon and the Sinai they do not want it they have withdrawn every time they invaded them. Same is true with Gaza.

After the second intifada most Israelis became convinced despite what they said publicly to believe the Palestinians despite whatever they say wants all of Israel and would fight to death for that goal. So any Palestinian state is viewed as suicidal. So in a them or us situation managing the Palestinians became viewed as the least bad option. This seemingly paranoid view needs to be understood in the context of the Jews being kicked out or killed wherever they went and the Holocaust. The world criticizes them for disproportionate responses, it’s because they want us dead anyway, so f**k them.

Besides the judicial reform that is why the majority or most Israelis are frightened of that faction.
While they may view occupying the West Bank and controlling Gaza as a necessary evil even to the point of 20,000 dead Gaza residents(unfortunately we are about to find about the last part), the last thing the non fanatics want is to rule more Goyim.

Well . . . MAYBE.

It may be the absolute, cold, harsh truth . . . or it may be war-time propaganda by an organ of the Israeli government.

That's why I'm waiting for independent confirmation.  I am also waiting for confirmation that Hamas leaders have called for bloody jihad in America and other countries (but, as a precaution, I am staying away from the open-air markets here in the Philippines).

If true, it then reveals the brutal, blood-thirsty nature of Hamas -- they are not at all interested in resolving their disputes, but only in slaughtering as many "infidels" as they can, and in the most gruesome ways possible.

Snopes has responded  HERE

Were Israeli Babies Beheaded by Hamas Militants During Attack on Kfar Aza?
by Nur Ibrahim, Oct 12, 2023

Here's what we know about the viral rumor spread by news media, the U.S president, and so on.

As violence escalated in Israel and Palestine in early October 2023, politicians, news media, and activists in the U.S. and U.K. spread a rumor about Hamas fighters supposedly beheading as many as 40 Israeli infants.  As we looked into the claim, we found contradictory reports from journalists, Israeli army officials, and almost no independent corroborations of the alleged war crime, leading to concerns among fact-checkers that such a claim may be premature or unsubstantiated.

U.S. President Joe Biden was among those who claimed "terrorists [were] beheading children," while speaking at a meeting of Jewish leaders at the White House.  His office later clarified that he had not actually seen evidence of such beheadings.  Meanwhile, mainstream news outlets, from Metro News in the U.K. to Sky News Australia, also reported on the alleged atrocity, with Fox News in an Oct. 10 headline claiming, "At least 40 babies, some beheaded, found by Israel soldiers in Hamas-attacked village."

Unverified reports about the escalating violence spread with incredible speed online, sometimes even with the unwitting help of journalists. The rumor about Israeli infants being beheaded was chief among such viral claims, considering its lack of evidence for independent verification.

The story appeared to stem from alleged observations by Israeli soldiers after a massacre in the village of Kfar Aza. For example, an Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) spokesperson told Insider that "soldiers on the ground who are there" told him that soldiers found the decapitated corpses of babies at Kfar Aza.  The spokesperson said he had not seen photos or videos of the alleged deaths himself, and no further details about that alleged visual evidence were available.

Thus, it would seem that a few Israeli soldiers started the rumor, the President repeated it (likely hearing it from the Israeli diplomats he was hosting), and the media picked up on it.

Stay tuned.

As I said earlier.

Poll: Majority blames gov’t for Hamas massacre, says Netanyahu must resign

Quote:
Four out of five Jewish Israelis believe the government and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are to blame for the mass infiltration of Hamas terrorists into Israel and the massacre that followed, a new Dialog Center poll released on Thursday found.

In addition, most respondents said they do not trust the government to lead the war on Gaza, though the poll was conducted before former defense minister Benny Gantz joined an emergency unity government on Wednesday evening.

An overwhelming majority – 86% of respondents, including 79% of coalition supporters, said the surprise attack from Gaza is a failure of the country’s leadership, while a staggering 92% said the war is causing anxiety.

Furthermore, almost all the respondents (94%) believe the government must bear some responsibility for the lack of security preparedness that led to the assault, with over 75% saying the government holds most of the responsibility.

Netanyahu must resign after war's conclusion, Israelis say
The survey, which polled 620 Israeli Jews from across the country, also found that a majority of respondents believed Netanyahu should resign following the conclusion of Operation Swords of Iron.

A slim majority of 56% said Netanyahu must resign at the end of the war, with 28% of coalition voters agreeing with this view, and 52% of respondents also expect Defense Minister Yoav Gallant to resign.

Certainly, Hamas has massacred thousands, that is not in dispute.

It is only some of the details that remain unverified.

I don't think that's responsible. Netanyahu is first expected to oversee the saving of the 120 kidnapped Israelis which includes 20 Americans. Either the rescue is complete or the bodies recovered (the latter is looking the likely outcome). Once that is done I suspect he will face an inquiry and may have to step aside.

Ideally, they'd offer Bibi in exchange for some innocent people.

Out of an abundance of caution, neither my wife nor I went to the outdoor market this morning.  Instead, one of our workers volunteered.  He reported that while the merchants were all doing business, there were fewer customers than usual.  We don't know if it is because people fear being attacked by Hamas, or because we had a 5.0 earthquake at about 08:24 local time.

Either way, the worker returned without incident, and no bloodthirsty hordes have been reported.

No Israeli government ever stepped down during wars, Bibi will remain as long as this war will take.

There are disgruntled Muslims in the Philippines.

So having Jewish blood on his hands doesn't bother him, so long as it tightens his grip on power.
