I'm not sure what you are indicating by that.

In my opinion it is only serious cases that matter.

Otherwise it sounds less severe than what I caught lest year where I had to sleep in a raised position for a couple of nights to be able to breath better.

There are many people positive for COVID-19 who don’t seem to have serious symptoms at all.

Some people are infectious and have no symptoms and test negative according to our research. Children especially. Our over 60's are not having any contact with people at all. The biggest problem is that there are thousands of infected people walking around with no symptoms at all.

From a Swedish former MEP.

China should apologize to the world for corona

The aggressive Chinese attacks on Sweden for our handling of the Coronavirus should be seen against the fact that the Chinese Communist Party wants to escape all kind of responsibility for the spread of the epidemic.

Lousy animal husbandry and poor food standards, along with fear of the dictatorship and its culture of silence, are the main reasons why the world is presently wrestling with a terrible global pandemic. Its background lies in the inability of a totalitarian system to take people's perceptions, security and life into account. It is not Sweden or Europe that is the problem in all this. It's China.

NO.
It is the transmission of the disease to vulnerable populations who will become severely ill that also matter. This disease is more contagious than usual because it is new and immunities have not been built up.

If it’s like New York, many people in Wuhan who had COVID-19 didn’t get tested.

Yes, this is why so serious measures are taken.
China is not recording many new cases but it is still largely in lockdown, things are not entirely getting back to normal. Removing the restrictions would likely result in another wave of infections. It is possible that we need to prepare for long-term functioning under epidemological alert.
Disinfection and delivery are possibly the businesses to invest.

I’m sorry you went through all that, Ezra.

All I was saying was that it might have been as hard to get tested in Wuhan as it is in NYC now.

I went into a Subway today. Caution tape around all the booth tables. Chairs stacked upside-down on all the middle tables. It confused me at first, but I found a flyer saying dine-in was restricted, but orders can still be taken.

It's actually very rational.

Times Square Earth Cam
1:30 on a Friday afternoon and it is nearly desolate. A scene out of a disaster movie.

I read an interesting article from a British perspective. Here are a few excerpts:

The current coronavirus disease, Covid-19, has been called a once-in-a-century pandemic. But it may also be a once-in-a-century evidence fiasco.

At a time when everyone needs better information, from disease modelers and governments to people quarantined or just social distancing, we lack reliable evidence on how many people have been infected with SARS-CoV-2 or who continue to become infected. Better information is needed to guide decisions and actions of monumental significance and to monitor their impact.

The data collected so far on how many people are infected and how the epidemic is evolving are utterly unreliable. Given the limited testing to date, some deaths and probably the vast majority of infections due to SARS-CoV-2 are being missed. We don’t know if we are failing to capture infections by a factor of three or 300. Three months after the outbreak emerged, most countries, including the U.S., lack the ability to test a large number of people and no countries have reliable data on the prevalence of the virus in a representative random sample of the general population.

The one situation where an entire, closed population was tested was the Diamond Princess cruise ship and its quarantine passengers. The case fatality rate there was 1.0%, but this was a largely elderly population, in which the death rate from Covid-19 is much higher.

Projecting the Diamond Princess mortality rate onto the age structure of the U.S. population, the death rate among people infected with Covid-19 would be 0.125%. But since this estimate is based on extremely thin data — there were just seven deaths among the 700 infected passengers and crew — the real death rate could stretch from five times lower (0.025%) to five times higher (0.625%). It is also possible that some of the passengers who were infected might die later, and that tourists may have different frequencies of chronic diseases — a risk factor for worse outcomes with SARS-CoV-2 infection — than the general population. Adding these extra sources of uncertainty, reasonable estimates for the case fatality ratio in the general U.S. population vary from 0.05% to 1%.

That huge range markedly affects how severe the pandemic is and what should be done. A population-wide case fatality rate of 0.05% is lower than seasonal influenza. If that is the true rate, locking down the world with potentially tremendous social and financial consequences may be totally irrational. It’s like an elephant being attacked by a house cat. Frustrated and trying to avoid the cat, the elephant accidentally jumps off a cliff and dies.

If we decide to jump off the cliff, we need some data to inform us about the rationale of such an action and the chances of landing somewhere safe.

Source: A fiasco in the making? As the coronavirus pandemic takes hold, we are making decisions without reliable data

It is a long article but a good read.

In Warsaw, people do keep 2 m distance between each other when standing in lines.

Yes in Israel too. Wear surgical masks and disposable gloves when you go out. Don't eat or drink outside home. You don't know who has breathed on it. Do it even if they haven't told you to yet. Some governments are not responding swiftly enough.

It’s no BS in NY State. 5,300 cases with limited testing so far. I sense it will be in the hundreds of thousands when all is said and done. Let’s hope not! Not deaths...cases.

I think I may have it.

I’m getting tested.

Nothing to panic about.....but we have to do something......and we are.

Please get tested if the symptoms suggest you could have it. Take care.
