China has locked down and enforced drastic measures and they have no new cases now;
In the rest of the world, exponential growth is still on;
We know where it stopped with drastic measures (China) and we have no idea where it will stop without drastic measures.

Also I think China is putting on a show.
And China has the kind of government that wants its people suppressed and oppressed.

If anyone has a problem with this, please step outside so we can settle things like NTs.
I have seen up to 49 million cases according to the CDC and as many as 56,000 deaths. Up to 2.6 million medical visits. More than 200,000 hospitalizations. All during just one flu season mainly December through March with February being a peak time - Just in the United States.
It's like some people want covid-19 to be worse than that. They seem get pissed off if you suggest it may not be that bad. Like you're spoiling it for them. "You are ruining this crisis!".
Dont want it to be worse I am just not bad with math I will help them with their math it hasn't be in the states long enough for 49 million people to get covid-19 so it is apple to oranges comparison

In the USA 19624 cases and 260 deaths covid-19 currently has a death rate of 1.32% could go a lot higher if hospital get over loaded.
If the same 49 million people get covid-19 with the current US death rate. 686,000 would die
If you go by the current global average of 4%
It would be 1.96 million deaths per 49 million people.

49 million was a typo. It is 45 million. Also according to the page below which is a CDC.gov page it says 61,000 deaths.
That said those numbers do not go side by side. It is not that there were 45 million cases and 61,000 deaths in one season. It could be there was a season where the cases were a lot lower at the same time the deaths were higher.
"CDC estimates that influenza has resulted in between 9 million – 45 million illnesses, between 140,000 – 810,000 hospitalizations and between 12,000 – 61,000 deaths annually since 2010."

So maybe there was a flu season in the last 10 years where there were 9 million cases and 12,000 deaths.

2010-2011: 21,000,000 cases | 37,000 deaths.
2011-2012: 9,300,000 cases | 12,000 deaths
2012-2013: 34,000,000 cases | 43,000 deaths.
2013-2014: 30,000,000 cases | 38,000 deaths.
2014-2015: 30,000,000 cases | 51,000 deaths.
2015-2016: 24,000,000 cases | 23,000 deaths.
2017-2018: 45,000,000 cases | 61,000 deaths.
