No, GE doesn't pay taxes - and they should have the federal government metaphorically bend them over, and ream 'em up the ass!

Why, more power to them for negotiating a deal that allows them not to pay any taxes, right! :) Too many loopholes and lobbying pays off. Flat tax would solve that one.

As I understand it, with a flat tax, the poor and middle class would be paying more than they are now. I just want hose corporate bastards to pay what they owe.

Your understanding is not correct.

I think there are other people in this forum who would support me.

People have been predicting the end of the world since there were people in the world. I cannot possibly be the only one to notice that. I guess if I weren't so terrible at making up stories, I'd like to be that "end of times expert." Sounds like a fun job, getting people all riled up for every cataclysm. These disasters and upheavals have been occurring throughout human history. We would've been gone many times before if these "prophets" were actually right.

If you really want a laugh, check out this link: Glenn Beck and Charlie Sheen back to back!

Well Glenn Beck is apparently right about the inflation he predicted:

Still, inflation is "going to be serious," Wal-Mart U.S. CEO Bill Simon said during a meeting with USA TODAY's editorial board. "We're seeing cost increases starting to come through at a pretty rapid rate."
http://www.usatoday.com/money/industrie ... tion_N.htm

Wasn't Glenn Beck supposedly crazy for making this prediction?

I posted up a thread in the Politics Section:

As annoying as it was that someone is using videos from the Glenn Beck show as an advertisement and that they apparently do not have the greatest in video recording technology, I wanted to establish that Glenn Beck predicted this.

Hopefully, people will be mature about listening to this, rather than simply dismissing it simply because Glenn Beck said it.

We're not talking the usual inflation, we're talking the kind caused by the Fed putting their printing presses into overdrive kind of inflation.

I'm not saying you should trust anyone blindly, I'm saying you should listen to what he says, look at the evidence compiled, do your own research. His current stance on stuff is actually what he would have considered to be completely insane a few years ago.

Give it up Inuyasha. If someone wants to paint the picture that Glenn Beck is crazy while refusing to get into the specifics then their mind is not very open and has already come to a conclusion. The OP obviously did not want to have a fair discussion. The dismissive nature should point to this.

Also, any call for civility, no name calling, no insults, lets just get to the facts will also fail because some people cannot have an open discussion without resorting to those types of attacks, simply because they do not have the intellect or patience to make their case in any other manner. Close this thread and start one of your own if you want to point to the facts.

Fox News announced that his show is canceled because of low ratings, and his conspiracy theories which were becoming too crazy for that network.
