Seconded.

All those in favor, say 'Aye'.

:D

Property is less important than people.

I want a police that reflects that.

Free market wouldn't provide it.

Free market police would do what no police would do. Violent solutions to everything. Someone robs a citizen - state would be inclined to lock them up. Someone robs you & there's no law enforcement available/robs your client & you're sole law enforcement? People would be inclined to beat them up not keep them locked up somewhere & their needs met.

As taxpayers, we already pay for those things. Markets don't work for public organizations because they do not operate in a market.

They were going on about how violent leftists and democrats are and that they will destroy their cities. But whoever thought the right would also be capable of the same thing. Time to use their logic now and we need democracy, this is what happens when we let the right wing take over. They will destroy our capitals. The police don't know how to handle the right. We need to send in our own goose stomping troops to stop these terrorists.

The biggest evidence that it wasn't actually leftist protesters who occupied the Capitol yesterday is that the police put on their kid gloves and didn't massacre them.

That clearly means those were just antifa posing as cops! Or cops corrupted by the deep state! Or Chinese sleeper agents! Or lizardmen!

The nice thing about conspiracy theories is that you can explain away anything that might discredit your worldview by convincing yourself it's all part of the Great Hoax.

I've noticed. We've had a few of those types of posters 'round here.

Seems to me like left protests turn deadly when the police are eager to use violence against them. And right protests turn deadly when the police are hesitant to use violence against them.

One exercises violence when violence is used against them.
The other exercises violence because they believe violence will not be used against them. Not to say that this paltry amount of police violence against them won't galvanize them and send them even further off the deep end.

Yep, right wing privilege.

The federal capitol building of the mightiest country in the world was literally looted by white supremacists.

Careful, if you call it what it is those who sympathize with those views will complain about personal attacks. We both know it's happened before.

There are white supremacist riots at the Chinese capitol in Beijing, too???
