Slaughter is and has occurred on both sides as well as extreme brutality. I’m not sure how people can support either Hamas or Israel at this point.

"Both sides" are Hamas and IDF. The Palestinian civilians stuck in-between are cared by neither.

Thats exactly my point. Israel could fight back without hurting as many civilians if Hamas acted like a standing army (didnt hide among civilians, used vehicles with markings, wore uniformes, didnt store ammo inside of hospitals, etc).
