Assange will be rolling over in the grave before you know it if people such as yourself continue pushing myopic views on the hacking world that feed your own narratives exclusively. You're using him to bolster your inane convictions. Stop.
Look. F**k off. I have just been to an event in St Pancras, London for Julian Assange. If you'd got on stage with your tripe you'd have been booed off. You have no idea what you are talking about. Assange has nothing to do with hacking. Just sat there listening to greats like John Pilger, Craig Murray and others. None of them mentioned hacking, just publishing. Stop spreading disinfo.
DO you really think if writers volunteer to attend an event in honour of Assange they are going to use the word hacker?? you suddenly entered naive mode.
I have great respect for John Pilger as a journalist but he is ideologically bound to support Assange as he himself (Pilger) has an axe to grind against the US and Israeli government (the latter is why you think he's great I suspect).
Now you're both derailing the thread. We're discussing a news source that was entirely dependent on a community of
hackers, grow up & accept the symbiosis here. You can't run a website the entire world is trying to censor any other way. I had the same response to the "green dam" internet filtering in China - I test some software to facilitate freedom of information & you're telling me I'm living in a fairytale? The only fairytale I see is you guys pretending this all happens on typewriters.
