Maybe they'll throw him in with the lady who murdered her autistic child, and blamed black people.

Takes one to know one.

Protective custody exists but it's not exclusively for police and it's also something that even the rats, pedophiles and ex-cops who tend to request it usually end up asking to be removed from because it's still solitary confinement and solitary confinement becomes torture for most people quite quickly.

So basically, even if he's placed in protective custody I wouldn't count on it lasting.

Rape jokes are usually pretty tasteless but I didn't mind the flavour of that one.

What's the endgame with all of this? I know at this point there's an amalgamation of non-violent protesters who are reacting to racial inequality and bias in regard to law enforcement (as am I) as well as looters who are only using this as cover for self-serving theft and destruction of property; a flare up.

What's the endgame? Perpetual destruction, violence and pillaging with no demands, terms, platform or concrete solutions? For any of this to be taken seriously there should be a coalescence of leadership that should form and give a unified voice to the "protesters" (looting and firebombing neighborhood businesses isn't protest).

Proponents of anarchy need to remember that without a rule of law of any kind, it's survival of the fittest. How fit are you?

I have to question if anyone besides the Amish are fit enough to survive if the power grids on an area are shut down because utility company employees walked off the job to do some looting for themselves.

From Facebook:

"Black people in this country are are damned if they do, and murdered if they don’t. And somehow white people still think we have the right to judge how Black people ought to “behave” in response to being killed in cold blood, in broad daylight, in front of witnesses, with no accountability for their killers? When we turn the discussion to the “behaviour” of Black people, we are perpetuating the racist idea that, if Black people would just be quiet, docile, and behave, things would turn out alright. “

"A taxpayer-funded police officer murdered an unarmed, unresisting Black man in broad daylight in front of witnesses. Taypayer funds will be used to defend the murderer in court. Historically, police officers are rarely, if ever, held accountable for murdering Black people while on the job; based on existing precedent, Black people have little reason to believe that justice will be meted out. Meanwhile, Black people are significantly more likely to be sentenced to prison as compared to white people who committed the same crime. Black people are presumed guilty at first glance, and the justice system is intrinsically rigged against them. All peaceful efforts to raise awareness have not changed anything – white people continue to call the police on Black people for existing, and Black people continue to get murdered for jogging, hanging out in their backyard, watching TV on their own sofa, sleeping in their own bed. Yet some white people still feel like the “looting” is the problem? When you condemn the looting, you are distracting from the central issue. This is gaslighting, and it is not ok. If you are wringing your hands about property destruction in the context of centuries of state-sanctioned slaughter of Black people – this is racist".

How can it be racist to agree with points about blacks that have been made by comedians or others who are themselves black? Don't believe me, check out some of the works of Chris rock and Eddie Griffin.

I'm not calling anyone racist, and I didn't write the post.

I'm just adding to the conversation with what I've read. There are definitely gas lighters in this world who would prefer to turn the tables and blame victims for their response, in every segment of crime from cop violence to racism, to male / female rape victims being vilified for their assault. Gas lighting and virtue signalling are a serious problem worldwide, and this story is no exception.

Yeah, but blacks do their share of gaslighting also. I remember when I was going to school, I felt with quite a few blacks who felt it was acceptable to make fun of me with words like ret*d then wanted to cry foul when I responded with the N word.

I think if they are going to be dishing it out and tell me they expect me to change my disability issues or make fun of it, they should be able to take a little gaslighting in return. There is that old saying that if you live in a glass house you shouldn't throw rocks.
