Well this isn't a great advertisement for "trickledown economics". Wasn't the free market supposed to bring benefits to all Americans?

Mr. R., would you like to borrow some of my Oxidol laundry detergent? It makes sheets really white. We like "white", don't we, Mr. R.?

You know what? There was actually an aide that I worked with at my old hospital - she was "older" like late 50's and I found her actually bathing the patients in bleach! I had to tell her if she kept that up, I was going to turn her in. I couldn't believe it. She said she had been doing it for a long time.

Wow,how could she get past the fumes?I know loggers that will add it to their bath water becuse the ticks turn loose in the bleach. The Health department used to tell people to pour it into their wells if they tested for high levels of bacteria.Another old timey remedy is to our bleach on athletes foot. Not sure if it's a good idea but people swear by it.

On another note,my daughter has travelled all over the world, right now she is in one of those "s**thole"countries,Mexico. She loves it,the people are friendly, food is good, cheap prices and great climate.Shes been there almost a month. The worst thing that happened to her was she got lost in a neighborhood and some dogs chased her on her bike. She has been all over South America, hiked the Darian Gap in Columbia,Europe and parts of Asia.Only once has she ever been attacked. Here in America, in Austin. She had a knife to her throat and was robbed and beat.Little thug rode of on a bike.I hope he got hit by a bus.

I wish SOMEBODY would think about the viewpoint, say, of a Mexican person who wants to provide for his/her family.

If you knew that you could make minimum wage (or maybe a little below) picking fruit in the United States, as opposed to making maybe a couple of bucks per day doing the same thing in Mexico, how would you feel? You want to install modern plumbing. You want a decent standard of life. What would you do?

By and large, like the immigrants of old, these immigrants want to become full, taxpaying, legal members of the United States community. You have a few bad apples.

But there were always "bad apples" amongst all immigrant groups previously.

These are a lot of misleading statistics.

80% of American adults are not in "near-poverty".

Americans are richest people on the planet.

House hold per capita disposable income is the highest of any nation.
House hold per capita financial wealth is the highest of any nation.
Middle class income is the highest of any nation.

Besides "poverty" in America means you only have a 55 inch flat screen, only two cars, older cellphone, while "poverty" elsewhere means you're dirt poor.

In actuality, maybe about 20-25% of the population is at or below the "poverty line."

That's way too much----but it's not 80%.

We are far, far from being a "third world country."

Yeah, most of us would do it.
