oh I think he believes that if he makes a monetary offer he can get away with his brand of behavior, if there was any money it would have come with strings attached, but zach being who he is just can't help rubbing people the wrong way, personally I am skeptical of anything zach says

And for the record i was not faking any suicide attempt. From that overdose I took I'm told I was lucky to be alive after it, much less be able to function. I had to be catheterized for a week after it because I could not urinate on my own, I learned what its like when Chemo patients try and digest any food or liquid (it comes back up in 5 minutes - they had to IV nutrients into my body). For months afterwords I often had dizzy spells, my blood pressure was through the roof and my resting pulse was about 130.

I'm glad now that I was not successful. The one thing I will say is that I understand now that loosing a child is the worst pain you could ever go through. Its just not an emotional pain, its so deep that it becomes a physical pain.

Technically, Wrong Planet cannot be "donated" to because it is not a charity or qualified non-profit. It is a private enterprise for which users may choose to pay contributions to help cover operating costs. Solely because we like it when Alex can afford faster servers.

If someone wants to gain traffic for a site by offering to give away a piece the money it earns (which isn't likley to be much), so be it. We're all adults and we should all know how the game is played. It's fine to describe the game just in case anyone is not aware, of course. Some of the biggest companies out there are playing that game - I recently was asked to make a "vote" to support a school, but declined after the "access my personal info" pop up box came on. A "buyer" should beware no matter whose money they think they are spending, right? There is a cost to everything we do in today's world.

No one will send out viruses to posters they don't like. If you have a legitimate case against someone, inform a moderator.

Some other day, when I have time, I might look into some of the allegations in this thread. If everyone calms down and behaves themselves, maybe I'll happily forget about it.

In my ideal world, you would all play nice all the time and my services as a moderator would never be needed. Give it a try, see if you all can make it happen.

Before the last two posts, I was planning on locking the thread. I am still going to do so; I just want it clear that the lock has nothing to do with member's rights to discuss what happens when they contribute money, and has everything to do with the nastiness the other discussion in this thread was taking on.
