This occurred in my metro area... I actually tried to memorize the father's face so if I ever see him, I can shake his hand and hug his daughter.

One of the boys' mother was interviewed, and she merely whined that "she would never speak to her son like that". Please! Maybe that's why your son is such a little PUNK, lady?

I've met no one - NO ONE - around here that doesn't think the father did the right thing under the circumstances.

Sure, he lost his head. But why?

Throughout human existence, the system has favoured the bullies. They shove anyone around who is weak enough, or alone enough, or whatever, and the system smiles on them. And the parents of bullies almost always support them. For all we know, he was bullied himself in school, and the memories are part of what sent him over the edge.

He didn't actually harm anyone. And he stood up to a bunch of little... uh, creeps. I'd say they didn't get half of what they deserve. He is my hero. (Yeah, I was bullied, in a school system where Gus Sayer, the man who later superintended the system that allowed Phoebe Prince to be driven over the edge taught at the time I was there. I know exactly where he learned the "I'm a bureaucrat, I didn't do anything wrong, my butt is covered, why should I stop bullies" routine. I'd like to see some of those teachers and administrators charged as accessories to murder - and found guilty. But it will never happen, because the government and the teacher's unions and all the entrenched interests can never and will never admit just how complicit the systems they force kids to suffer under are in all this bullying.)

I don't see how it's the right thing to get on a bus full of children and go on a curse-word filled rant towards only some of the kids on the bus. Maybe if it had been more private I'd have understood.
