Be careful what you post online

If people were talking crap about me, online or otherwise, I'd want to know about it, and when I did, I'd sort it out.
And that is what everyone should be doing.
Indeed, and this woman got sorted out, so all is good.
Oh I thought you meant talk to them about it and see what you can do to fix it. Like the students saw the blog, they should have gone in and confronted the teacher about and it and ask what she meant in her blog and if they do anything that pisses her off and what they can do about it. You know talk about it. That's something I would try doing as a kid when I would find out someone said things about me like I am mean.
No, if someone genuinely gave a s**t about you fixing your problems, they'd discuss them with you politely, not talk crap about you online.
I am sure she has tried talking to the whole class about it and none of it improved. I know mine would talk to the whole class about our behavior even though I wasn't the one who did anything wrong but I didn't take it personally. I figured she was talking to the ones who were guilty.
No one knows the whole story when they read a blog.
I don't think it said that was the case in the article. You can't just assume she did that, because if you're the type of person to b***h about people, you probably wouldn't.
And you're assuming she never tried talking to them. You can't assume what she never did and I am saying she maybe did but we don't know that because articles don't even tell the whole story. Not even blogs. I've read comments to her blog and to one of the articles I have read and tons of people are saying what kids are like today and what she said was true about students these days. We don't even know if she has tried talking to the parents or to the principal about her students. We don't even know if she was having a bad day when she wrote that in her blog and she was frustrated so she was venting to her friends in her blog. People do that to their friends and family too about people. Even parents do it about their kids and people have done it about their pets. It doesn't make them bad people. Based on what you are saying, I'm assuming when people pick on you or treat you like dirt, you don't come on here and b***h about it or to your family or anyone you know, not even to your therapist (if you are seeing one), or to your online friends.
I laugh when I see things about how to deal with bullies like go talk to them by telling you how they make you feel when they do this or that to you. I mean do they think that is actually going to work? Do they even think bullies are going to even care if they are hurting their victims and then stop? Why would we want to tell them how they make us feel and enable the abuse from them even more because we had now told them how "weak" we are? Sort of off topic here but you see what I mean now about trying to talk to people when you have issues with them because it's always not an option. Maybe the students doubt they are frustrating their teacher and making it hard on her and then they see that blog and now are butthurt about it because they can't handle the truth. But we'll never know. I have had situations where people treat me bad and they would find out I was talking about it and then get all upset about it and that would piss me off even more about them and it just taught me why talk to them if they won't give a s**t. So this is one of my sensitive areas. I have even came home from work when I was twenty and b***h to my mother about an issue I was having and she tell me what to do about it. She would also explain it may have been a misunderstanding and because this worker's language isn't English as her primary, she may have mistranslated my words and I need to go to my boss and talk to her. I honestly thought this worker lied about me so I thought why go to her about it if she knows she can hurt me and lie about me even more to destroy me at work because that is what bullies do? I just never spoke to her again to avoid the same issue.
Or maybe I am paranoid. I also have a hard time with confrontations too and I am also shy and get real nervous when it comes talking to people about something so if that makes me a bad person, fine. Unless your post didn't apply to people with those issues. I would love to have the balls to go talk to people about them because what is the worst that can happen? Tell me to f**k off? Insult me even more? Laugh in my face? Pick on me even more? Or not give a s**t?

You can assume someone didn't do something unless the person can prove otherwise, that's completely reasonable. Since we don't know if this person did talk to them about it, and what we know about her character traits points to a likelyhood of her not doing so, we can assume she didn't.
The fact that a few blog commenters agreed with her doesn't make what she did right. By that logic, all the s**t YouTube commenters come out with has to be right too.
And no, I don't go and b***h about people who upset me on the public internet. That's just pathetic, and it's not the same as discussing the situation with your friends. The internet is not a private playground.

The way I see it, the teacher was just butthurt about her pupils being annoying, when really she should have been happy to get paid and got the hell on with her job.
This isn't the same as being bullied and it isn't the same as discussing a personal issue with your own mother. I agree that talking to these people about whatever their problems were wouldn't have worked, too, which is another reason why I think it was silly for you to suggest the teacher would have done that. But ya know what? Bitching about them online doesn't solve anything either.

Everyone is like that, me included. But why the hell are you assuming that the only two options when someone annoys you are "confront them" or "b***h about them online"? You can talk to the relevant authorities to sort the issue out, that's the mature sensible thing to do. Or you can discuss how to sort it out with friends. But you shouldn't talk s**t on the internet, where the whole world can see. That is, as I said before, utterly pathetic.

1) You said if someone has a issue with someone, they would talk to them about it than talking crap about them
2) The teacher thought her blog was private because she didn't think it be found. It was for her family and friends to see. But she failed to have it be password protected and have it set to private so only certain people can see it. This isn't an assumption, this is what she really said in one of the videos I watched and it's obvious she didn't have it set to private because one of her students found it, not smart on her part so that's why I said it was unfortunate, same as when she had to have her photo up and use her real name and last name initial.
So when you first responded, you made it sound like she had no right to vent her feelings and frustrations to her friends and family. If you would have added she should have done it through email or on the phone or to her friends and family in private like at home, then I would have seen it is okay to talk crap about people but not in a the internet where the whole world can see. As someone else said in another thread, her problem has been solved, she doesn't have to deal with those students anymore.
But you're right bitching online doesn't solve anything, neither does bitching in real life. What it does do instead is gets rid of all those feelings the person has and then they feel better.

It's more likely to sort the problem, but whether its the best option depends on the situation.

Ignorance isn't an excuse. If you want something to be private, make it private. Unless you've taken specific steps to make sure your blog can't be found, such as blocking search engines from indexing it, then you can assume it's public just like any other web page.

Yes, venting to friends and family is fine (though even then it's best not to mention names or anything), but venting on a public website is where the problem lies.
