Let me remind you that clinton was impeached for adultry...well lying in oath too, however dont all adulters lie anyway? If Ginrich does win the rebulican primary it will only blatently prove that the motive for the repubulicans impeaching him was purely political having nothing to do with values and everything to do with control. However, I think the republicans are going to throw this election because they dont want to be in the hotseat when the economy goes belly up. This is the same reason why they could not get their act together in 2008 because they knew the economy was about to crash. I read a rebublican magizine in 2008 and it said that they were afraid that if McCain got ellected after bush that it would be the end of the rebublican party. However with the rebublicans throwing the election this time and Obama as the imcumbant...it looks strong for the tea party. I have met enough racists that support the tea party, and certain prominant tea partiers who supported racial segragation to conclude that they might be neo nazi's....which is a scary thought.
Just think how the Republicans will have egg on their faces if the economy recovers under Obama.

I wouldn't call it a "recovery" if it happens during the Obama administration. He put time and effort and staked his popular support in his district and later in his state on defending the economic policies that wreaked havoc on the country leading up to him taking office. If the economy recovers, the only thing he can take credit for is cleaning up the swath of destruction that would have never happened if it wasn't for him in the first place. However, it is unrealistic to expect even that considering how his whole assessment of the country is poison to businesses and the economy, and he spreads it through his human puppets he appointed within the government's vast bureaucracy and leave them to take the blame so that there is little risk to the size of his personality cult.

Republicans got control of Congress in 1994, they lost it in 2006. They regained it in November 2010.
Bush was elected President in 2000, started on January 2001. Clinton was no conservative, Obama, Pelosi, and Reid are leftists.

Clinton was a centrist, moderate president with a Republican congress. The result of that is right wing policy. Obama is also a centrist, moderate president. And the compromised, ineffective senate during the first part of his term basically ensured a continuation of Bush era policies... Right wing rule. it's been 30 years since there has been any liberal or progressive leadership in this country.
As I recall, that's because those "progressive" agendas failed to inspire confidence in leadership and policy decisions. Your true "progressivism" was given a chance and it left a bad taste in the voter's mouths.

So, if the economy gets better under Obama, you're still not going to give the guy credit?

No, because he ruined the economy in pursuit of a private social agenda that never had a chance. He has a responsibility to fix it, but in the unlikely event he does, that still doesn't give him the right to be considered a good steward because if he really was a good steward he wouldn't have given the financial sector a free pass to do whatever they damn well please in the first place

I agree, Obama is way too closely tied to Goldman-Sachs and the other firms he saved from sinking into oblivion. While I do agree with him that we very well may have had another Great Depression if he hadn't have done this, but still, I would have liked to have seen the bastards who nearly sank the economy out of greed get sent to prison for round after round of involuntary butt sex.
