I must respectfully disagree that this is off topic, while I acknowledge there are conservatives out there that are ignorant, people here have to also acknowledge there are liberals out there that view us as being defective, and/or good for being props to appeal to emotion, but at the end of the day we aren't really people to them.

Quite frankly, I know we all have problems, but we need to stop feeling sorry for ourselves about how we may be socially inept. So what if we're socially inept with NTs, we shouldn't let people run around calling us defective or treating us like we're diseased and not call them out on it.

We need to focus on our strengths, try to learn to compensate for our weaknesses, and applaud when people stand up for us and try to show our positive traits in a manner that doesn't depict us as merely being savants (solely good in one area and somehow defective in everything else), showing that like NT's we have strengths and weaknesses.

I have to say that I really do not respect NBC as I used to. First, I see a video they edited with a black kid making him seem violent and he wanted a gun. When in reality, he wanted a gun so he could be a cop. And now this. No apologies.

When it comes to Fox News, at least they are willing to apologize when they realize they did something utterly disrespectful and distasteful. If they did this, something tells me they would at least apologize or write a statement. So even when Fox News carries themselves more like a tabloid news show than a real news station, at least they will apologize over non-political issues.

I think I will just stick with the Young Turks from now on and browse CNN to get a general idea of what's happening in the world. MSNBC and NBC, I trust you no longer.

Also, good thing there's little to no partisanship in TV shows in Canada. Seems to be you Americans that are masochist enough to try it. Guess that comes with a bipartisan voting system.

And yar, I do agree with the general consensus that (from hearsay, I didn't watch the video) it was a pretty horrible thing to do, from most parties involved.

I do hope you're being sarcastic, because Canadian TV is pretty partisan as well.

When someone laughs at something you said, that often means you can now control the room. There is a brief moment when the group is anticipating a funny response, and if you seize it well, you can control the conversation for a while.

When Graham said the song was too sad, they group laughed, thinking it was a sarcastic remark, maybe it was. If Graham can get to understand that, he can learn to converse in terms and on subjects he is comfortable with.

And yes, you gotta learn to smile. Bad actors do it, we can too.

Yeah, neither kid on stage looked like they were totally comfortable. The older kid seemed to fake it a little better tho, I think its entirely messed up albeit slightly blown out of proportion. Song was terrible, Kathie Lee is or at least acted like a total airhead and mom possibly overzealously accredited her kid with something that wasn't an act of kindness per se, but mutually benefited both kids with a friendship. He was never a charity case.
