I forgot the site to link to, but in California (it's my understanding the suit was filed in Orange county) You cannont sue third parties for things posted on internet sites.
The suit will be dismissed in pre-trial hearings. BET ON IT!! !
All the same, it must be a difficult time for Alex.
I would like to share legal advice given me by a QC (Queens Counsel or creme de la creme of attourneys for you US types)
"give them f*****g nothing and even that's too much"
However, just thinking through the principles, if family of an adult can be held resoponsible for damages a son caused, then parents of bullies must also surely be able to be sued for pain and suffering by the bully's victims
Victims of under-age bullies must have a stronger case since the parents should be accountable for a higher level of supervision.
Even if it got to trial, I don't believe the courts would want to set this sort of precedent.
