Thats all Iran has said to. But their actions are their building nuclear weapons. Which means the end game is a massive nuclear war. I would estimated the death toll in the
50,000,000+.

Israel already has Nuclear Weapons. They've been in the comfortable situation of being an untouchable power in the middle east, something they have exploited thoroughly to act in a disgraceful fashion for 50 years.

Maybe if they had a neighbour with the power to threaten them they would learn to behave.

Well by your own analysis you say Zionism is wrong, Israel has acted bad in the past and has nuclear weapons. So you add 2 + 2 and say Iran having nuclear weapons equals peace. If Israel is so bad as you say I say they are going to act bad in dealing with Iran so your getting a 50,000,000+ person death toll nuclear war if you like it or not. Its going to be the price that you will have to pay to try to stop Zionism in the next 10 years. But I put my money on Zionism winning this first nuclear war. But hey
you can allways hope for a 1,000,000,000+ person death toll in the 2nd nuclear war to
rid the planet of Zionist.

No, I'm not saying Iran having nuclear weapons is a good thing, I'm saying Israel having them is a bad thing.

I don't see how you figure that Israel is an acceptable country and Iran isn't. Israels entire history has been one of a rogue state abusing its neighbours with the knowledge that America will stop them being properly punished. Israel is the typical spiteful bully in the playground with a big brother who stops them from being given the beating anyone else would receive.

I assume you're an American? Because Europeans certainly don't appreciate Israel.

Yeah i'm an American. So I do tend to support Israel. Really Zionism is no different than Manfest destiny that was used to take the Americas from the natives. I guess its
fair to call them bullies. But bullies tend to bully for some sicko mental reasons. The
bulling by countries is about taking land and resources to survive. Your neck of the woods did all the fighting in the past to finalize borders and other people will have to do the same in their part of the world.

Depending on which side of the fence you are on, you may think England's entire history has been one of abusing its neighbours. (some of my ancestors were Chisholms who had to flee or be hung after 1745).

But, ask the Irish, Welsh, Scots, South Africans (esp Boers), Rhodesian, Sudanese, Indians, Americans c1776, Sri Lankan, Afghans, Chinese, etc etc about English Imperialism. Have a look at the Highland Regiments' battle honours to see where England has been throwing its weight around

I used to think Israeli jews cause much of the grief in the middle east, but I have changed my mind. I think Israel's neighbours are very intolerant of anything western and would want to drive any western society (jew or not) into the sea.

I think its a very complex situation and I admit I don't know very much about it.

As a Welsh Scot I thoroughly agree that england has done nothing but abuse its neighbours.

I would say that Israel is intolerant of its native Arab population and neighbours, and I wouldn't blame the Middle East for being intolerant to the West, we've given them nothing but grief for hundreds of years.

Hmm. The problem with Israel is the same problem with just about every problem that's based in history.... It's too late to correct the problems.

My basic understanding is that we-- meaning the USA-- helped the Jews take their bibilical promised land because we didn't want them to come here. They, fresh from the Holocaust and generations of being treated like... well, Jews... enthusiastically wiped anyone out who stood in the way.

That being said, I'm not particularly interested in giving up my house to the Powhatan tribe, which originally held the lands around Richmond, VA. I would be even less interested in giving up my home if the descendants of the original Powhatans were advocating my murder for being a descendant of the original thugs who rolled over them (I'm not, but that's not really relevant here). Oh, sure, if the government were to come along and say "Hey, we're giving this land back to the people we stole it from, here's the value of your house", that would be a different story, but that's not going to happen.

It's like Iraq. We shouldn't have gone there. Once we went there, we should have actually had a fracking plan to keep the peace. Now we're in the awful situation where we can't win, we can't break even, and we can't even quit the game (although I'm starting to wonder if there would be more stability if we did just that).

To expect 58 years of Native Israelis to just pack up and leave the homes that they grew up in is a little unrealistic, and unfair to the Israelis who had nothing to do with the original incident. I do agree that the some of the Israelis are behaving the way we did with the Native Americans. I do agree that it often seemed that Sharon was of the attitude that he could do anything he wanted because American Politicians couldn't afford to not support him.

:sigh: It's a screwed up world we live in.

my solution was always simple. bomb Iraq and Iran. subdue the rest and make Israel an American protectorate.
