I'm not married (I'm still in high school! lol). However, I have had two boy friends in my lifetime, but I'm single again. I'm planning on being single until I get out of college so that I could have a more serious social life without serious conflicts (like school). Anyways, from what I know about aspies, we tend to not have nearly as much of a social life in high school compared to neurotypicals. I'm not sure what it will be like as an adult, but (from what Liane Holliday Willey said) our traits would become like bubbles. She said that it meant that we would lose some of the "bad" traits and that they'd "bubble" back every so often but we'd still have the "good" traits. It was something like that. Anyways, I think it's possible for an aspie to get married, but it can be a bit later than usual because of our social immaturity and the fact that most of us don't enjoy the social realm nearly as much as neurotypicals do. It doesn't mean that we don't enjoy it at all; it's just that we'd like to break away from the crowd once in awhile and enjoy some nice quietness without the talking and whatnot. If it were me, I'd like to get married to someone that I'd love and who'd love me back, has goals, has interests and beliefs similar to mine, and is understanding about my Asperger's. It would be hard to find, but I think if I had a husband like that, I'd marry him. I think it would be good to have someone close like that.

Did anyone else hear the recent report that for the first time ever in America there are more single people than there are married? I personally think its because no one knows how to build a relationship these days. But also its because people don't feel forced to marry when they graduate high school and start popping out babies like they did prior to the '80's.
