All this over Ketchup?! It's not like the guy couldn't have just mosied on over to a Burger King or Mac Donald's to get some Ketchup packets. The employee should have simply let the man rage about not having Ketchup and storm out the door (hopefully). I am curious as to what made him suspect a gun may have been present on the customer...

When I was in high school we had a pet squirrel at home for a while. He was a good pet in addition to our dogs.
Anyhow, even after that I still hunted squirrels and ate them without being bothered by it.

American cheese is also acceptable. The Philadelphia Inquirer did an article on it. I cannot stand Cheese-Whiz. Just don't be like John Kerry and order Swiss cheese on yours, it caused a stir.

I think we all know now Philadelphia fans got a bad rap, and it really was the cheesesteaks that caused all the problems and stigmas. If we ban them from stadiums and their parking lots, we might get some reputation when the next generation comes around.

There's actually of lot of options at Subway that are pretty unhealthy. In fact the cheapest subs are cheap because they are the least healthy (excluding the veggie). If you get something like a Chicken Bacon Ranch with cheese (which I would totally love) or a Marinara Meatball then you might as well get chicken nuggets from McDonald's cause the latter would actually be healthier.

Kind of like the dark meat of poultry.
I've usually had it fried but once at someone's house we had some kind of squirrel casserole with dumplings that was quite good.
Some swear by squirrel gravy over biscuits but I haven't had the pleasure, yet.

And the bread is so hard toasted! I like it cold but why does it have to get so dry in the toaster? I only like the veggie. A lot of their sandwiches are loaded with fat but maybe not as bad as some of the Mcdonald's stuff.

On the subject of squirrel meat,I always par boil them till they begin to get fork tender, not falling apart. Then bread and fry them.Even people who have never tried squirrel will go crazy over it.And many people consider the brain a delicacy. They crack it open with a butter knife and extract the morsel.I've seen folks eat the tongue, this is from boiling them with dumplings.Wonder if Subway has a souse sandwhich  ?
Anthony Bourdain and Andrew Zimmerman have shows where they try squirrel, they liked it.

Yes, boiling the meat for a while before frying does make it more tender.
I only eat the meat, though. Not the other parts.....
I haven't had squirrel or anything else wild lately because there aren't very many places left to hunt or do anything else around here due to over development and that gets worse withe every passing year.

Sorry to hear about that. All I can hear at my place is wind and water.I can see two lights way off on the mountain at night.kinda ticks me off,I think they could be taken out by someone with a good eye(my ex was expert marksman in the Army) but I'm not going to attempt it.
Deer are overpopulated here, some towns are having archery hunts to thin them.I see them in the yard here everyday,I have a huge fence up to keep them put of the gardenMy son got a big eight point this year. One year their was a squirrel migration and you could hear them chewing everything up,the nuts weren't even ripe and they ate all the green fruit and worst of all,the figs.

Talking about sandwiches, there is a place in Jackson,Miss that serves fried hog ear sandwiches.

Ever seen one of those,er,raccoon toothpicks?

Whatwhatwhat?!? What kind of moron reacts to a possible gun threat by obstructing the individual who might have the weapon?

The same kind of moron who takes offense when someone mentions the word "ketchup".

Touché.

American cheese?!?!?!?! Bwahahahahahaha...

The cheese that my brother supervises the packing of almost literally across the road from my house will do a massive crap over most Yank cheese.

Actually, American cheese is not legally cheese, but cheese food....

I'm a cheddar man, myself. If you eat enough of that, you won't be doing a massive crap on anything!

As for squirrels, I used to hunt and eat lots as a kid. We only fried the gray ones. The fox squirrels got thrown in a pot, boiled and served with dumplings...

As for urban deer, last time I was in Eureka I saw a family of 5 milling around on a patch of grass, downtown, at lunch time! I'm pretty sure they do urban hunts there once or twice a year...

They have pills that can make it easier to digest, has the cheese tried that?

I know what you mean about Kraft. We have a local cheese factory that makes way better cheese than Kraft. It's the best cheese ever but oh is it full of salt and fat. I love the texture, however! Never found cheese with a texture like this one.
