This is old conspiracy news. It is debunked by Snopes. It has no more validity than the 9/11 "truther" conspiracy or "we didn't actually go to the moon government conspiracies". What's really sad is the number of people that want to believe it so much that they don't do a simple search to see the facts that debunk these conspiracy theories.

There are still people that believe 15 year old film clips copied into you tube videos suggesting that the government has concentration camps set up in the US. This is Alex Jones stuff through and through. Folks like him are getting rich playing with people's minds.

Even if the government wanted to pull a scheme off this, it is impossible. We live in the internet age. People have smart phones and it would be impossible to make the general public keep a secret like this. In fact, that is exactly what makes it so easy to conjure up these kind of conspiracy theories in a short period of time. There is a tremendous amount of information and misinformation than can be manipulated to make almost anything look like reality.

Particularly, when there is an underlying agenda and strong emotions involved, because emotion controls logic. People like Alex Jones have the creative minds and finances to keep the conspiracy theories going almost continuously. Modern media and the amount of information that goes with it, is literally a gold mine for people motivated to emotionally manipulate the general public, for a buck.

People that make these kind of videos are intelligent enough and informed enough to understand their liberties and freedoms are secure, otherwise producing the information would be a death wish. They generate fear and insecurity and take full advantage of it. They are the ones that are abusing liberty because the fear and insecurity they generate may eventually result in the loss of some liberties for those that value and respect it.

No, the government didn't make Hurricane Sandy or Sandy Hook happen but people like Alex Jones will do their best to convince people that the government is a super villain out of a Batman movie. And there are people that are waiting to believe it. And sure enough in the Youtube video linked below, Alex Jones research "experts" are blaming it on a government controlled "batman" conspiracy. People in the general public actually believe this stuff. That is the part that is scary.

Personally I'm not a 9/11 "truther", I believe the Apollo landings were real though there may have been some faked footage added (I'm not totally convinced of that one yet), I'm on the fence about JFK. However, I do believe that TWA flight 800 was covered up for political gain, and I believe the Oklahoma City bombing was staged because the Army Corps Of Engineers could not reproduce the blast damage the way the official story claimed (they had to use C-4 demolition charges on the support pillars in the basement of their mockup), and the security video that had a clear view of events was returned to it's owner edited...over a decade after the incident.

Since I'm probably going to get asked about Iraq, I believe that there was some truth to the chemical weapons claims, but that Saddam's stockpiles were far smaller and less lethal agents than thought. Both the Mossad and a couple Iraqi air force generals (the two groups were never going to coordinate their stories) claimed it was smuggled to Syria. Israel has since claimed that some of it was given to Iran, and they had an accident with it that killed most of their scientists and technicians. The US also captured nuclear manufacturing equipment and a large amount of yellowcake that was eventually sold to a Canadian company that obtained a license for it.

As for the chemical weapons the Syrian rebels used on a pro-government residential area, they were captured from the government but I'm wondering where they originated? If the media spun the story and is now silent on it, I'd be curious if it was mustard gas from Iraq?

And Snopes has been known to have a political agenda in the past from time to time.

This information is a result of another hoax video produced by an anonymous person on you tube and picked up by several right wing websites, attempting to suggest that the incorrect information provided by NBC, a day after the event, is actually something that happened as a correction in the last couple of days. It's easy to check these hoaxes if one does a search on what sites are reproducing them.

It's hard to believe there is a need to keep ahead of out-of-control, loony conspiracy theories about the murder of children and their teachers. But there it is.

I agree 100%. Haven’t these victims’ families had to go through enough pain and suffering to be accused of being actors in some government plot.
