^ Yeah, no one in the UK is calling for the confiscation of meat cleavers.

Doesn't the UK already relatively strict laws when it comes to knives? Obviously, this man didn't care and he had a gun as well. Thankfully more people didn't die in this cowardly attack.

Do you mean to say that a man had a gun, but did not use it to kill someone, and he used a knife instead?

Then why is there no uproar over the proliferation of bladed weapons in the UK?

A handgun has been reported by a number of witnesses but I have not seen any reports of it being fired.
May have been a replica used for intimidation?
It seems the aim was to attack and kill a serving soldier, make statements followed with suicide by cop.
Witnesses, mostly male, were threatened and a number, all female, spoke directly with the attackers before the armed response police arrived.
There was an opportunity to attack others but they chose not to.
One women walked straight through the scene with her shopping trolley.

Let's chain all knives to large butchers blocks, or we could just make them all blunt, or all cleavers will require registration.

Personally I would like that these two savages have received life changing injuries. Basic medical care to be provided to conserve life followed by a life sentence, solitary confinement, spent in conditions comparable to those experienced by prisoners in Afghan jails.

As we live in a civilised society I'm sure they will receive far more than this.

I just heard on CNN the murdered man's name is Drummer Rigby, and he had a two year old son.

His name is Lee Rigby, Drummer would be his rank, equivalent to Private.

Okay - CNN hadn't made that clear.

Carrying a knife like that is already illegal in the UK. No question.

Wow, you have somehow managed to get the situation exactly backwards. That's impressive.

Last time I checked, the UK isn't in the habit of invading itself. But it is in the habit of invading other countries.

When I saw this story I thought it was goofy that the UK said it was a national emergency. Since when has the death of a single soldier been a national emergency? Would it have been a national emergency if he had died in a car wreck, or if he had tripped and accidentally stabbed himself?

And I think the word "terrorism" doesn't have any meaning anymore. It is just something politicians say when they want to scare people, or when they want to slap bigger charges on people they don't like.

Are you saying that the UK in general is the aggressor and this attack was deserved?

Even if that’s the case they still did it in the name of their ancestral homeland.
They made that obvious.

Um, two radical Islamics kill a British soldier on the streets of London then tell why they did it on video and then wait for the cops to come shoot them to add to martyrdom to their efforts. Yep, that makes it enough of an emergency and an act of terrorism to call it that.
