That does seem crazy. They could at least take some small action like turning off power and water then not allowing them to come and go freely to restock supplies. It looks more like we're running a resort for nut jobs here, ugh.

The feds are too gun shy since Ruby Ridge, and Waco, so they don't want anyone to even consider that they're being aggressive toward the insane.

I understand that the Ruby Ridge and Wacko, Texas incidents have basically neutered our federal governments response to these types of incidents. But, you'd think that they could at least show an effort of some sort. Bundy and company currently have no incentive to leave if they can move about as freely as any of our law abiding citizens can.

As they are now torn apart by internal strife, are finding more and more of their members are just a bunch of con men, and that they can't live without the necessities like Cheetos, I think it's a good bet this idiocy isn't going to last, even without the feds storming the building.

Why would you celebrate someone getting killed unless you know the circumstances of the actual killing?

I'm sure you wouldn't be celebrating say, Michael Brown getting killed, until evidence is displayed for all to see (even then, you shouldn't celebrate violence; it's ugly).

Respect all life and all that, until it's shown to be an immediate threat to another.

Because that's how the Left plays the game, right Kraichgauer? Aren't you a religious man, too? You should be ashamed of yourself. That's all I'm going to say about that.

It's about time the authorities stepped in and actually did something about those terrorists. Sad about the casualty, but that happens to a lot of armed criminals these days.

I'm seeing a lot of doublethink involving this case. People that support BLM, for example, wishing for these guys to get killed/it not ending peacefully (say, Feds compromising). Supporting one means you support the other, as the BLM cases involved people breaking the law as bad or worst than these guys.

I'm "liberal", and the tribal politics lately are sad and sobering for actual dialogue and fair resolutions.

No, I'm celebrating that those so called "patriots" are going to go to jail. Where did I write that I'm celebrating anyone's death?

A video posted on Youtube by the driver of the 2nd of the two vehicles pulled over.

The conspiracy theorists are already touting this guy as an F.B.I. plant.

Of course they are. Doubtlessly many of the same people who say that Adam Lanza's victims never existed.

The partisan mind at it's "finest".

Are you saying the right doesn't throw OWS into the left's face every chance they get? As I recall, your friends on the right have always pointed to the mess left by the OWS camps - after staying there for several weeks - but praised the cleanliness of the tea baggers after demonstrating for a few hours.
As I recall, you were the tea bagger's cheerleader from their onset here on WP, praising them for being non-evangelical conservatives/libertarians (HAH, like they're really divorced from the religious right :P ).

Read your post and what it quoted. 7 arrested and 1 killed, in addition to "some action" (action being a bad thing); you didn't specify either one.

Anyway, it looks like the one killed happened similar to Tamir Rice, with the video being equally bad quality. It doesn't look like the "patriots" wanted a fight here, no matter the outcome.
