Did my rant make everyone disappear? I'm sorry. :(

However, it does mean Alan Rickman did a very good job. Great voice, too.

Every word Kyle said is true, in real life, but I think that Harry learned affection and acceptance at Hogworts, and if you re-read his times at the Weasley residence, that is where he saw and learned love....he just adored Mrs. Weasley. He also loved Mr. Wesley the first time he met him.....and the whole household was presented as being delightfully affectionate and welcoming.....just what a lonely child desperately needed.

The character of Snape is probably worth a thread of its own.I liked Alan Rickman in all the roles he played and although he specialised in 'baddies',my favourite is probably in the comedy Galaxy Quest.By all accounts he was
rather witty in real life so this was maybe nearer to his own character.

Charlie Rose had a "Remembering Alan Rickman" segment on his show today, that made me choke-back tears----this is sooooo sad.....

I've been wanting to watch "Love Actually" since I heard-of his passing, but I can't bring myself to do it, yet----much like when Robin Williams passed, it took me awhile to get over it.

Alan Rickman was so incredibly talented----he will be missed----and he was so "young", but a pancreatic cancer diagnosis is a certain death sentence.

Yes, he was very good in Galaxy Quest. Especially his face when offered what the aliens considered his favourite delicacy.

Sheriff of Nottingham?

Incomparable.

Hysterically funny.

Sigh.
