Yep, there were so many sh***y arrogant people in that room at once it should have been turned into a waste recycling plant, lest the smell waif down the block.

That's two agreements in the same thread, go put all your money in the lotto because the world's ending.

So, in your mind, price gouging pharmaceuticals is tantamount to planetary genocide, but the later can be excused by a last minute act of contrition? Sounds about right coming from you.

Maybe it's because Darth Vader is a fictional character? Or maybe some people would rather deal with in-your-face aggressive evil than the slithering/slimy type people like Martin Shkreli represent?

No, I just enjoy smugness and the butthurt it causes it's intended victims.

Do you? I just used him as a metaphor for an ostentatious villain, you're the one who tried to make an actual comparison.

Besides, one can defend a principle that involves someone they don't like without supporting said person. I mean yeah someone may say what he did wasn't wrong for a,b,c reason, but they'll probably still tell you he's a complete as*hole.

Eh, I'm so done with some of the people here that I'm pretty okay with giving their enemies a special pass, but in this case, my major problem is the long distance diagnoses of mental illness by incompetent armchair psychologists, coupled with the conflation of a guy with overly sharp business practices with mass murdering psychopaths. I'm very particular about words and terminology, and it's frustrating when people's hyperbole gets so out of hand and so far from the truth.

Also, if the guy's really a narcissist, why are we feeding into that by talking about him?

Actually, he is just like the other CEOs, CFOs.
You realize that they are all like that, don't you?
He is no more arrogant, greedy, brash, selfish than any of the rest of them.

If what HE does upsets you all, how does it feel to know that they are ALL just like him?

Even the companies you like and respect are run by people just like Mr. Skhreli.

The only argument I'd make is the business practices part, time will tell on that one. He may look savvy now, but he hasn't won just yet. If congress is looking into it then there's most likely going to be a law change and that change could end up hampering him. Likewise, he may weather the public relations storm unscathed. The game's not over just yet.

I think if anyone else brought up the point I did, you wouldn't have made a peep. But because it was me, you had to make me out to be morally reprehensible.

Yeah I've noticed Dox tries really hard to portray you as stupid (poorly), but no worries derogatory speech doesn't work in the general public, only the Republican primaries.

Of course; he said he was going to vote Republican this Presidential election. At least I'll know who to harangue and b*tch at if Trump or Cruz gets elected, then precedes to put the country further into the hole.

but they generally consider the hole to be a "city on a hill" ;) - I'll split the difference and call it a mole hill.

I should explain, that by 'sharp' I don't mean good or smart necessarily, just aggressive.

Did you forget that it was you who responded to me unsolicited? I was just giving my opinion on Shkreli and the hoopla surrounding him, you were the one who decided to quibble about it, and then try and move the goalposts when I responded. Go back and reread it, I just said I thought he enjoyed the Vader role, then you said he was worse than Vader, which I questioned as Vader murdered billions and all, so then you decided to make it about Vader not being real, and here we are. You don't really get to complain about being singled out when you're the one who started the exchange...

Pfft, I don't have to try at all, I just have to quote him, he supplies the stupid posts all on his own, and as I pointed out to him, he starts it at least as much as I do, but I suppose your politics prevent you from noticing that inconvenient fact. I'd give you examples, but Bill thinks it's creepy that I know how to use the WP search engine.
