Marijuana May Help Treat Addiction To Painkillers And Heroin
That being said, I recently experienced severe alcohol withdrawal, and weed didn't help.
If you're still on the sauce and the lawn grass, Mr. AspE, why don't you try getting off of it with me. Today, was 3 wks without the Big A and I feel great! I think you could feel great too!
I am. I went from 20-30 drinks a week to less than 6. Only 3 this week. I do feel much better. Started quitting this Jan.

You'll do it. My sleeping still sucks. How's yours?

Darn, I flunked.
Even aspirin has its risks. The benefit of cannabis for chemo patients is well known.Amazing results with children having seizures.Ive know several people that were anti pot....till they got cancer. Now they promote the use of it.It helps with MS,IBS and other health issues. Its about quality of life, most medial users aren't Cheech and Chong.
Lancet has several good articles but some you have to pay for.Its a well respected source of medical info.

There is a lot of ignorance in this thread, far too much to quote all of it which I was trying to do. However I'll just say this, I was a horrible drug addict and alcoholic and just do weed now and life is great. I would argue that its not intoxicating in small dosages, most people don't know how to smoke in my opinion.
I am baking right now actually,
force-
No.
No what?

I should know. I've been using alcohol to put me to sleep for years now. It doesn't work - it screws up your REM sleep cycle. My sleep is sucking now since I'm not using it - I've been getting 3-4 hours a night. HOWEVER, I can't go back to it - I was popping heartburn meds left and right, my stomach was a mess and my anxiety was way up. I'm exercising more now, eating right and have more energy and my heartburn is gone almost completely. People have to get off of the stupid drugs. They will miss you up.

I actually don't want to stop drinking entirely. I think it's fine now and then. My dependency was over after about 2 weeks. Tried to go cold turkey and it was a nightmare, so tapered down gradually. I only needed one a day to mitigate withdrawal. My sleeping sucks now, but for a different reason (prostate).
