I'm note sure where you get this "real conservatives". Trump voters hardly qualify as "real conservatives".

As for the Republican Party, a Republican Congress used to be most effective holding back the reins on the Democrats. They were particularly effective with President Clinton in the 1990s.

Republican Presidents don't really seem to upset much of anything. When the Republicans are in charge of the Presidency and Congress, you would expect them to get something done but they seem incompetent to do much of anything. They are too busy, I think, lining the pockets of themselves and their influential friends. About their only usefulness is in the appointment of Supreme Court justices who might happen to stand by the Constitution on occasion.

The only reason I can see why the Democrats don't want a Republican for President is because it slows down their rate of change. A Republican President rarely accomplishes much trying to reverse the Democrats change.

Because as a right wing ideologue, he would be the death of the social safety net on which millions of Americans depend on to live, return healthcare to the nightmare it had been under the insurance companies prior to Obamacare, all for the sake of unsustainable tax cuts for the rich, and unnecessary military build up for endless, pointless wars. Not to mention, he'd roll back civil rights for LGBT Americans, and would allow states to enact voter suppression. A big part of his ideology springs from the aberrant Dominionist fundamentalist theology taught by his Kennedy killing father.

It's in all the polling research data and market research data.

The majority of Trump's GOP voters says they are conservative.
The majority of the GOP voters say they are conservative.

When asked what the defines conservatives, they state it's religious values based on the bible.

You are what Fox News, Conservatives, Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin, the GOP and the majority of conservative voters call a liberal, since you don't support the current platform of unfettered capitalism, Wall Street free reign and Biblical laws.

You obviously stayed with true with conservative movement and instead of falling in line.

This echos what the GOP says and what Fox News says as well.

There was 8 years of Bush II and the Conservatives got a lot done with their majorities in Congress.

They accomplished:

Invasion and occupation of Iraq
Spent over $6 Trillion and counting (yes Congress is not done paying the bills yet) on Iraq
Gave Iraq contracts to Haliburton (VP Chenney's company)
Cut taxes for primarily for the rich
Returned a $2 Trillion surplus to the voters in taxes cuts
Turned a $2 Trillion surplus into an $10 Trillion + of national debt.
Commissioned a border wall
Stopped Bush on Immigration Reform
Cut the funding of NASA and Border Patrol
Bailed out Wall Street
Bailed out the major banks
Bailed out other companies
Expanded H1B2 Visas to new heights
Made it easier to outsource jobs of all sorts
Imported more illegal labor
Made it harder to qualify for Overtime

They reformed Medicare/Medicad.
They barred Medicare/Medicad and all levels of government from negotiating healthcare prices and prescription prices
They reformed Student Loans, guaranteeing the Federal Government would back all private loans.
They mandated the U.S. Treasury make profits on all student loans
They gave NSA their current spy powers
They passed the Patriot Act
They reformed K-12 education with No Child Left Behind
They deregulated Wall Street
They deregulated many other industries
They stopped Broadband internet expansion by ordering Telecoms not to build it
They blocked Stem Cell Research
They tried to stop Terry Shavo's Husband from pulling her plug
They tried to reinject Christianity into the country
They did a lot more stuff that I listed.


The Democrats have nothing do with the current conservative values sweeping the West.

You must have very different Conservatives in Michigan than we have in Texas.

I don't personally know any Conservative who claims Conservatism and Religion are equivalent. In fact, I know plenty of Conservatives for whom religion is a very little part, if any, of their lives.

Well, when you debate which side has more humour and isn't busy singling the other out, then I guess a lot less shall we say, can trump that.

Ironic how the party that tends to be mostly religiously conservative are doing the things that would make Jesus turn in his grave. How is this allowed to happen?

It's ironic how must future democratic republicans behave in light of all that's seen as democratic and holy for all reasons. Remember how everyone thought Ronald Reagan was having an affair with the iron maiden?
We've all been let down by the Thatcher years and those who are old enough to remember it, which wouldn't include me at the time, would feel even more let down if we let another right winger liberalist to tell us, or should I say order us, to remain at the back of the queue, when in fact, my country is vastly capable of improving and moving on.

Let the stumbling blocks of the Joker enterprise topple the fool who resembles strength without fair and equal measure.

Cruz is threatening us with resuming his Presidential campaign, again.
