Can anyone tell me if the live video in this article is taken from the European or Asian side of the Bosporus?

I believe the European side is more built-up, with tall buildings, and since those are on the opposite bank from the camera, the camera is on the Asian side.

What a week indeed! 8O

A major country, lynch pin of NATO, on the flank of Russia, borders both Syria, and Iraq (and borders the ISIS ruled areas of both), and staging area of US operations against ISIS. Turkey has had coups before ('60 and in '80). But they picked a fine time to have one now. All you can do is pray that the coup increases the country's long run stability rather than decreases it.
