I live half an hour from munich. I go there to work sometimes (I work freelance)
I'm relaxed, though.
the biggest newspaper in southern germany reports 10 dead, including the alleged gunman, who appears to be a german of iranian descent.
14 people died in traffic accidents in bavaria this week.
I'm so much more worried about the idiot Pegida movement and the nationalist AfD-party.
I watched one of their party meetings on youtube, and one audience member asked the leader of the party, whether the party would bring the german borders of 1913 back into discussion.
And that idea, that there are some people who now see their chance to undo the changes that happened to germany after losing two wars, that inability to accept how things went down between 1914 and 1945 - that deeply worries me.

Are you seriously comparing car accidents to children and other innocents gunned down in cold blood?
I think this type of sentiment is exactly why groups like Pegida/AFD exist and why they grow stronger every day.
You're right, jacoby, car accident victims aren't innocent and it's their own fault that they didn't get out of the way of that drunk or drugged driver going the wrong way on the interstate./sCar crashes under influence are like nothing % wise to total amount of car accidents which are mostly caused by stupid driver behaviour, audacity, distraction... Btw those are accidents as sad as it is. I doubt the gunman there shot dead 9 or so people by "accident" - noone is safe.. not only drivers!
Assuming you have driven a car before, you would know when you need to be more focused/aware. However when you calmly walk in the mall and get surprised by a bunch of bullets you never know where or when the terrorist can get you which is basically why you have to be focused/aware all the time, intensley draining your energy and mental resources.
So basically, Jacoby is right. I agree.
